How to Cook 5-Star Charizard Class Curry SOLO with only 2 Berries + Analysis of Mechanics

Ойындар

Pokemon Sword and Shield
I also show my easy method on how to get Charizard rating SOLO and without motion controls on every other ingredient / Curry Dex entry, using only 3-5 berries.
Do note that my technique does not use motion controls in the first phase, but it still is enough to get 5-Stars. If you do everything right, which isn't all that hard, you get 100% 5 star rating.
Getting Charizard Class SOLO with only 2 berries is only possible with the Gigantamix Ingredient and any 2 of the berries with rarity of 10: Liechi, Ganlon, Salac, Petaya, Apicot, Kee, and Maranga.

(--------------------------------------------
For other ingredients you will need 3-5 berries, depending on the rarity of the ingredient:
An ingredient with a rarity of 1 will require 5 rare berries.
An ingredient with a rarity of 2 will require 4 rare berries.
An ingredient with a rarity of 3 will require 4 rare berries.
An ingredient with a rarity of 4 will require 3 rare berries.
An ingredient with a rarity of 10 will require 2 rare berries.
Rarity of 1: Bread, Pasta, Fried Food, Instant Noodles, Precooked Burger
Rarity of 2: Sausages, Tin of Beans, Mixed Mushrooms, Pack of Potatoes, Salad Mix, Spice Mix
Rarity of 3: Bob's Food Tin, Bach's Food Tin, Brittle Bones, Pungent Root, Fresh Cream, Packaged Curry, Coconut Milk
Rarity of 4: Smoke-Poke Tail, Large Leek, Fancy Apple, Boiled Egg, Fruit Bunch, Moomoo Cheese
Rarity of 10: Gigantamix
So, if you have ingredients:
Bread, Pasta, Fried Food, etc. you will need 5 rare berries for a 5 star.
Sausages, Brittle Bones, etc. you will need 4 rare berries.
Large Leek, Fruit Bunch, etc. you will need 3 rare berries.

Thank you for this video. Most of your conclusions are correct, but with your cooking method I can even cook a Charizard Gigantamix curry with only one Cheri Berry (one of the most common berries). This means the 2 rare berries are not necessary for the Gigantamix ingredient --- it's ridiculously superior to the rest of the ingredients. Also, it is possible to substitute one of the rare berries used in a meal with other more common berries. Here I created a tier list of the berries so the rest of my comment can make sense: Very common berries: Cheri, Chesto, Pecha, Rawst, Aspear, Leppa, Oran, Persim, Lum, and Sitrus Berry. Common berries: Figy, wiki, Mago, Aguav, Iapapa, Pomeg, Kelpsy, Qualot, Hondew, Grepa, and Tamato Berry. Uncommon berries: Occa, Passho, wacan, Rindo, Yache, Chopie, Kebla, Shuca, Coba, Payapa, Tanga, Charti, Kasib, Haban, Colbur, babiri, and Chilan Berry. Rare berries (as mentioned in the video): Liechi, Ganlon, Salac, Petaya, Apicot, Kee, and Maranga. Maranga Berry. Rarest berries: Lansat Berry and Starf Berry (both from the Battle Tower). For instance, when cooking a 4-rarity ingredient (fancy apple, etc), normally we use 3 rare berries to reach the Charizard rank. Yet we can substitute 1 of these rare berries with 2 uncommon berries, or 4 common berries, or 6 very common berries. We can even substitute 2 rare berries with one rarest berry. Yes they are insanely good. This means, to make a Charizard curry with a 4-rarity ingredient, we don't have to always use rare berries; instead, we can put 6 uncommon berries in the pot --- since this is the equivalent of 3 rare berries, the recipe will work. Same goes for 1 rare berry, 2 uncommon berries and 4 common berries, and all other different combinations (as long as the total number of berries is within 10), This rule of substitution generally works for other ingredients as well. 3-rarity ingredient requires the equivalent of 3.5 rare berries; 2-rarity ingredient requires the equivalent of 4 rare berries; 1-rarity ingredient requires the equivalent of 5 rare berries. Better berries are recommended though, because your recipes may not work properly if you use too many very common berries, and it may take mad cooking skills to pull off some of these combinations. I comment here only because I appreciate your research spirit and want to share my findings to whoever finds this helpful. Hope your video gets more attention ;)

You should post it on the Gamefaqs board mate, that's definetly going to help those players like me who can't go online! FINALLY a guide that points out mechanics and the minimum requirements. One thing I've personally noticed is that a perfectly cooked curry gets darker (a good looking brown) faster while stirring and it's easier to obtain that using rarer ingredients and berries. Also the reason why sometimes you get a taste that is different from what you expect may be that even berries with balanced taste (i.e. Apicot has 5 points Dry AND Sour, that balance each other...) have ONE point somewhere else (...1 point Spicy). Could it be that there's a small chance to obtain that taste, which raises when using fewer berries (or, when the predominant Dryness and Sourness are less... predominant, with like 3 berries of the same kind instead of 4-10)? What is that you actually get? I've tried leek+3 Apicot but it always gives me a "tasteless" curry. Anyway I can almost confirm that reaching the highest flame as fast as you can plays the biggest role, after that you can spill even 5-6 times (while barely obtaining it at the end of the minigame requires that you stir perfectly).

I don't quite understand your question. But as I have shown in the video, the flavor (stated) common to both rare berries will be the flavor of the dish. So if you want a Dry Curry using Leek ingredient, then use 2x Apicot and 1x Ganlon, vice-versa. Same goes with other flavors.

At 8' something you say that using 3 apicot berries should give a neutral taste but sometimes it doesn't work. It happened to me a couple of times that even mixing balanced taste berries the result was a particular taste and I never understood why. Unfortunately I couldn't take note of the process to verify so I asked if that was the case.

@@federicobarbina6772 Yeah not sure why it gives a neutral taste but sometimes does not. But as I have said in the video, at least in my experience, using one of each of these 5 rare berries always gave me a neutral taste.

I tried this several times with around 6 liechi berries and an even rarer enigma berry with 3 common berries and a 4 rarity ingredient and failed to produce charizard curry every time, but for some reason the way you did it works perfectly for me. Thank you! EDIT: I practiced some more and getting the flames as soon as possible really is the key to doing this, so if its not working for you, its most likely the flames.

Welp, I have tried this multiple times, even going all the way up to 6 rare berries, and still only Copperajah Class no matter how many times I try. Get to large flame, stir quickly without spilling, and hitting the green circle, none of it seems to matter. Oh well.

Someone else said this below but want to reaffirm that how fast you get the flame is the most important part! For the times i got it, I also had the pokemon around the cauldron make the happy noise twice during fan the flames? idk if that's an indicator

There is a bigger phase of the fire that I'm not seeing in like any videos. If you get that, all you need is like 1 rare berry as long as you do the rest of the basics.

You mean w/o any ingredients? Yeah, it's the hardest to 5-star. At least if you're solo and not using motion controls. You have to at least match my execution/technique.
