After being together for a very long time she was left with three conditions by her Parents 1) Leave the Boy and Marry the Person of our Choice 2) Choose the Boy and be the reason for their Suicide 3) Convert him and then Marry. * I still remember the Day, On March 6th 2016 she said " I talked to my Parents about us and they placed three conditions infront of me(Conditions that I stated Before), I can't be with a Man other than you, I can't choose you over my Parents and I can't ask you to Convert as it was not the right thing to do in Love. Hope you will Remember me and Cherish our memories". I was shocked hearing those word from her as I was unaware of that Conversation. Then I tried to Hug and asked her to look into my eyes in order to cool her down. She pushed me away and said "Your warmth even for a second can make me to choose you over anything and that's the reason I'm not even looking straight into your Eyes. I miss You ever Second of my Life till my Breath Lasts" and left from there. * Those are the last words she ever spoke to me and that the last time I ever seen Her. * I brushed this story to make my point that we are not always meant to be together, even a single day with them worth a life time. * We can't control everything but we need to fight what we believe and the rest leave on God. * Love is important as so as Parents we can't be Happy breaking their Hearts. * The decision she made on that day made me to Love her more and I Cherished her in each and every memory of her. * For Love just two people are enough but for marriage two families need to come forward keeping aside there customs and beliefs. That is some serious issue we are taking about which can happens in High Profile Societies like it doesn't matters. But for people like us every family becomes orthodox when they deal with Marriage. * All I can say is it depends on the couple and how much fight they put to be together. * And I cannot support running away and getting married as I have seen few of my friends doing that which doesn't End well. * Hope you find your answer if not write once to Prachi Di. ✌🏼

@@umaprabakar8533 used to have a thought which needed to be executed if anything goes side ways but never got a chance just go with the reply " I Love Him and I can't be with anyone other than him. It will be better if I stay Single for my entire Life instead of marrying someone other than him." It will take Years but eventually worked for most People. Thankyou so much its really helpful to me at this point as i am also going though the same situation.I want everything to be solved respectfully, because at the end of the day they are our parents they always want us to stay happy. Love always finds its way if you have the right guidance and patience.Just believe on each other and work for it what it requires. As we all are here to be loved and to give love to each other.

Just before i listened to ur video i followed few of the same points which u mentioned here that's the reason I'm adding this comment here.Thankf for your wonderful n helpful video!!!!!!! I told my mother about my Love,we both are financially independent and secured with good income also our families have known each other for more than 30 years. Here comes the problem with caste.... both of my parents stopped talking to me even without listening to me completely and about us. My mom tried emotional blackmailing but I stood by myside saying until u agree for our marriage i will stay single till may be I'm 40. My elder sister have also had love marriage that's the main reason they are focring me to marry someone from our own community to stop relatives gossiping about our family. I don't bother much about relatives n society's opinions becoz they change with our status. Me and my boyfriend want to pursue higher studies and live a well settled n happiest life to make both of our parents very happy and make them feel that they are very fortunate to have us as their children. My boyfriend's parents agreed n indeed they are way too happier to welcome me into to their family having known abour me n my family without even bothering about castes. They just love me because of my simplicity n nature. I'm not sure how long will it take my parents to convince for us...... Would try to follow all your steps to convince my parents amd try for better explanation.

Make yourself strong mentally and emotionally. There will come a time when you will realize that your parents are only doing this because of their own fears and that is nothing to do with you. That it is their responsibility to deal with their fears, not yours. Refuse to marry someone else when the time comes. You will have to patient as it may take time. You will also have to recognize emotional blackmail and avoid it from disturbing you. For that you have to focus on your career as well as strengthening your relationship right now. Only when these factors are in place will you be at least eligible to marry, let alone convince your parents. You can also use lines like these. "I thought you always wanted to see me happy. Are you sure that i will be happy with the one you choose for me?" " My partner is the only person in my life that i have the chance to choose. Please let me make that choice with your love and blessings" " I will always support you and will not leave at any cost since you are important to me, but my significant other is important to me too. Don't force me to make a choice between the people i love." "I am not asking for your approval on my partner, only your support to let me be with her." "Will that society come to save me if i am unhappy in my marriage?" "Since you won't agree for divorce if i am unhappy, why don't you let me marry the one i love in the first place? " There are many more lines which you can make up but it all boils down to the fact that making a choice of partner is your right. Don't give it away at any cost, not even for the people you love the most in this world. If they truly love you, they will support you, no matter what.

I'm not kidding this works! So, one of my family friends, they're three siblings. And the younger one is a girl who was in love with a guy from a lower caste. And she's been convincing her parents from the past three years, but they weren't showing any interest. She left home with the guy yesterday and now! For a wonder her parents are asking them to come back and they'll get them married in a legal way. This ancestral way of choosing your partner on the terms of caste and religion should be slowly taken off. Another three four generations to come, the world should be a better place to live in. We, get into a relationship only after thinking about the future problems that will likely arise. And how both parents of the person will react to it, once they know about it. But we are getting into a relationship, promising each other that we will do everything we can to make the parents understand and accept us wholeheartedly. But once the situation really hits it, the love would thrive only when the efforts are double-sided. That is what I'm going through rn. All it took was just a 2-hour emotional talk with her dad, to make her throw me away from my life abruptly, even though I loved her with all I had. Promises are trusts are never true.

I would have loved to share with video with my parents.... But i wish the title was slightly different, like " why nothing is wrong with inter religion marriages" or " how inter religion marriages can make the world a better place. Hi Prachi :) What would you say about an interracial relationship ? Sometimes it is really frustrating to lie all the time... We are together for almost 3 years, his parents know about my existence for approx 6 months now, but they can not know about the fact that we are living together. I talked to his dad and mom once, over these 3 years and its a bit worrying that I still do not have any relation/connection with his family, although he spent his 3rd Christmas with my family and knows everyone. I eloped with my wife and even after that our parents were into caste bullshit and didn't give a simple marriage reception. We tried to convince them for 4 years after our court marriage but eventually gave up hope. Now, they just want to behave as if everything is normal without even saying sorry for harassing us for 4 years. They are still abusive though. To make things worst, they have said all sorts of lies to their society and relatives. My parents blame my wife parents and her parents blame my parents for not agreeing to a marriage reception. We have now cut all relationships with any and everybody from our relatives to parents. Now, life is simple and happy. We have come to realize that our parents are limited but most of all narcissists and extremely toxic. "When the roots of a tree starts to rot, you need to cut the tree and re-plant it in a different location." Same is the thing with human beings.

All this is good. Im pretty sure countless couples used this video to try convincing their parents. In the end it doesn't matter uk. When orthodox parents shut their minds off, there is no chance for reasoning, practicality.

Hi actually i convinced my parents for my love marriage. But sometimes they tell some hurtful things in the marriage prep and my relatives are saying pretty hurtful things in the name of making fun. It hurts me later the moment. I regret why i disclosed my 7 yrs of love to them. They're judging what we would've done in these past years. My sister asked whether i did any registration marriage. I am not experienced enough... But atleast be happy they are letting you marry... Find your way ,you don't have to live with them all the time .... Focus more on being in happy marriage with your partner instead of them. Let them be or else it'll impact your marriage.

All it needs for parents is just to have a few minutes of emotional and blackmailing conversation with their child. They feel proud that they have given them the best advice one could ever get. And be happy and satisfied for seeing their son/daughter live the life they want and not how their child wants to.

I respect her opinion but still, I will share my views as well. I think just a mere selection of boy or girl by whomsoever whether by yourself or by parents or etc will not make your marriage a "Happy Marriage". Auditing of humans by humans is itself a very big question mark. Marriage is a very long process. There is also difficulty in getting a divorce if it doesn't work as we expected. Marriage is almost like "Gambling of Humans by Humans". That's it for now guys.

Hey Prachi.... Thanks a lot for this video.. I think exactly similar to what you have mentioned here. Though, I am seeing a similar kind of case these days... I have started doubting my own thoughts as if an doing right or wrong. What should you do if your own partner starts making you feel guilty of not thinking about parents and society whereas what you expect from him is just not letting go so easily.

Does this apply for interracial couples as well? My partner is not a religious person (not an atheist, but more of an agnostic, animism). I am a Hindu (but not entirely religious, more spiritual than religious if anything). I am 26 btw. My partner is not an Indian and I grew up outside of India for majority of my life. I am not yet completely financial independent yet (studying my MBA). My parents do not approve because he is not an Indian.

Yes I have a success story M watching this vedio today but I have done all these things before for 4 years to convince ( I waited for 4 years to take yes of my parents) my parents for the boy I loved and finally we are angaged I was stubborn and showed my parents that I ll not marry anyone else and also I ll wait for your yes and it worked finally But also before taking yes I have proved myself before my parents N also relatives by getting financially independent girl And financially independent does not mean 10-20 thousand salary it means more than that u have to be fianancially independent that much from which u can make ur life better with better lifestyle. It's works a lot to convince as world bows down in front of money this days.
