Assalamualaikum help Dr. zakir or anyone, i have a question but i cant answer it. I tried to think hard about it but i just can't. The question is : Why if i do good things (like learning) and then succeeded, it's all because of Allah. and then, if i do bad things (like being lazy) and then fail, it's because of me? pls tell me if i got wrong

Wa alaikum Salam... ﴿مَنِ اهتَدى فَإِنَّما يَهتَدي لِنَفسِهِ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَإِنَّما يَضِلُّ عَلَيها وَلا تَزِرُ وازِرَةٌ وِزرَ أُخرى وَما كُنّا مُعَذِّبينَ حَتّى نَبعَثَ رَسولًا﴾ [Al-Isrā’: 15] (15) Whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] his soul. And whoever errs only errs against it. And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And never would We punish until We sent a messenger. - English Translation You are accountable for your deeds, So if you are doer of good , He will guide in straight path, If you are doer of bad then He will guide in path of astray... Our deeds are accountable... Allah has foreknowledge of ur life... for example if you are consistent in salah and make duah for ur guidance .. that duah (because ur deed ) Allah bring you in path of guidance... Supplication may change our qadr( decreed upon us) with the will of almighty...

Well, it's not like that it's completely prohibited in Islam(it can be makruh or haram). And maybe they forgot or have another reason.
