Something important you didn't cover: there are apps out there that will turn screen off/on depending if the device senses it is being charged. However, should the battery on the device drain out (car hasn't been turned of for days), when you turn on the car, you also have to boot up the device. It won't turn on automatically.

Samsung tabs have the never turn off until you turn it off yourself setting in developer options

Yes it can connect and read your fault codes etc

Yes once connected with ODB it will give live data. you will only need to install the third party application on your android device

​@@cnd_ion I know this is a late reply but you could connect the tablet to the car via 3.5mm aux cord, then connect the OBD2 device to the tablet via Bluetooth. Or you could connect the tablet to the car via Bluetooth, then use USB to connect the OBD2 device.

@@bedantabb try with headunit reloaded, try the demo (5 mins each session) and then buy the app for 5 dollars. With this app you can have android auto, the app is working pretty good ;)

@@unasistent I'd go with a 12v dc "obviously 12v dc" bluetooth to rca module to two external amps one amp for highs "4 channel" and 1 channel mono block amp for your subwoofers. Or a 5 channel amp there's some good ones out there.

I'm interesting to do a stationary Tablet as radio connection, for music, I had an old radio that can't connect to Bluetooth, had not USB Ports and pretty old fancy, ok, the right What I want it's to connect a tablet to the car, just starting by keys, it's like as car owned tablet

this is only a quarter of what is needed, try hard wiring it to your car then will see if its only 1 app that does it all lol i mean ok info sure but this is only an app
