This actually works and it was super useful. Thank you very much! Google may not properly format your text, but it still saves a lot of time. E.g., I gave it a screenshot of a table with consistent formatting and it got converted to a set of lines, each table cell on separate line. But the characters got converted almost flawlessly (only missing some punctuation on š and í , characters quite specific to my language), so it seems quite reliable.

Thank you! I used this to translate a message a player sent me in Russian ingame (There is no way to copy-paste text from ingame) and I thought he was ranting at me. So I took a screenshot of the message, did the steps in the video and now I know that instead he was thanking me for helping him. xD

Hello thank you for the video but I have a problem, whenever I go to open with it doesn't show google docs and when I try to open the jpg with google docs it just goes to google drive image viewer. Any way I can fix this?

This helped a lot i am so happy but what I wrote in the photo half of it doesn't show up in the image but I wrote all when I placed it on the picture and With this Google docs truck i am still only able to see the first half of what I wrote any suggestions

I did exactly as you showed here and for some reason its not working. put the jpeg into the google drive, and opened it with google docs it showed up as the image itself but did not transcribe the words as yours did here. Is there a setting or something that I missed here?

can i take picture for my note book i wrote and convert to word the same way

I want google drive to convert my upload from JPEG to DOC. say every file upload its extension or default app gets convert to Google doc. Which means every I upload and open in Google it opens in Google Doc. Thanku pls tell if this possible

is their any limit the pages to convert images to doc?

Can we do this using google drive APIs? I'm working on a script in java which is suppose to convert all the images in my drive to text..N I want to download all those text files to my local machine through google drive api itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can we output same as that of image via Google docs? I mean where in image line is cut then in output also there only the line should be cut automatically? Is it possible ?

I doubt it. This is simply an image to conversion tool. I wouldn't expect it to format layouts automatically.

I can’t believe it! I’ve so many apps on mobile. This one is the best!

Looks great, but doesn't seem to work in 2019 for some reason for jpg or jpeg file. However, creating a png file helped. It gets converted to text, but the original formatting is lost. This is not good for source code. Thanks for presenting this great tool!
