What about the physical card? How do you adjust the settings so that you can pay with the money you just exchanged? For example if i exchanged dollars to euros, will euros be the money to be deducted when paying with the physical card? Don't know if i made sense 😅

I’ve been doing exactly this on my visit to Venice, so GBP to EUR. when I got home I’ve had multiple “none GBP transfer fee” statements taken out of my main Lloyds bank account. Surely this is an error as the whole point of using revolut is to avoid these fees ?

and when paying by card from a shop, let say in MXN, the card will automatically deduct money from the MXN?

Correct. Furthermore, it will only select the currency in which you are spending at the time. So you need to have enoufh funds as well in that specific currency as it only uses one currency pocket.

To confirm, I'm going Hong Kong from England. I convert the pounds into dollars. And when I pay by card in a shop or restaurant and pay by contactless or chip and pin, it will automatically deduct the money I've converted into dollars and I won't have to do anything else?

It's confusing to me whether to change to foreign currency when travelling , other sites are saying there is no need to do this as the Revolut App will convert automatically as you spend

@@stevemarshall2728you have these two options… I normally exchange currency during the weekdays for spending money during the weekends when I’m abroad so I avoid exchange weekends fee

I have just exchanged money from British to Turkish when I click on the Turkish money does that mean I just use my card with that money I have exchanged
