I watched this video before going to shoot with father in law. He has a small arsenal and a wealth of gun knowledge and been shooting with twice. This time he brought way more with him so now I have shot more than when I commented. This video taught me a lot and while no pro it gave me a good base to start at and some good techniques to make muscle memory. So now I have shot .380, shot a Glock that was 9mm I think, shot 1911 45 and while I was nervous with that one I fell in love with it and is very fun to shoot, an SKS, and and old lever rifle I can’t remember the name or caliber. This trip taught me a great deal and I eagerly await the next time we go and can continue to stack on knowledge and grow. They aren’t toys, so respect that they aren’t no matter how comfortable you may get with them.

Been out of the corps a few years, just bought my first handgun… I feel like I was at range week for 30mins. Wow this instantly brought back my fundamentals. I just subscribed! Great video!

This was super interesting and gave me a number of things to think about. I’m no pro and barely an amateur, but becoming a better shooter is a joy to pursue and I really appreciate the energy and attitude from these guys. Appreciate your effort with videos like this, guys.

What Mojo isn't telling you is that he has a natural point of aim through repetition. The reticle is nothing more then a redundancy for him.

The greatest problem I’ve ever had with recoil is that forever as a kid I was angry with myself I couldn’t control recoil like they do in the movies. Then I found out they’re lying liars and use blanks.

Some of the best advice and instruction I have seen on KZread. Great to hear your explanation of Nature Point of Aim. That was one of the hardest things for me to master as a young Marine. Once I got taught the real deal my light came on. I always shot perfect in my rapid fire drills as that NPof A is critical for that Rifle landing on target. Mojo is so fast I had to watch his trigger discipline multiple times! Great advice and demonstration. 👍Problem for many of us is range time and getn that practice in. Finding a range that allows this type of training is difficult. Someone needs to create more outdoor ranges nationwide so we can apply these fundamentals and get better.

Not only is this a fun video, but there's also a ton of actionable information that you can take to the range, and build into a foundation that will (with practice) last forever. The points made are logical with good supporting evidence. I also appreciated the "look out for this" tips to make sure you can apply corrective steps when you get off track. I will definitely be watching this a few more times with an extra critical eye.

Watching Mojo's mess up on his reload is better than watching someone else not messing up at all.

This is my first time seeing Mojo. He speaks very well and also listens extremely well. Thanks for having him on the show!

Wow I just learned a lot from Mojo in this one video than my entire time in the military lol. Such an awesome instructor and very sound advice that I will be practicing from now on. It’s insane how much he can control that recoil to the point where it doesn’t even look like he is tracking up in the slightest bit.

Great video, having shot for almost a decade pretty regularly, there isn't much new info out there to be had, but this video covers a lot of very valid points that shooters will benefit from.

@@brantinpUSMVMC so I didn’t go to a school. I spent a year and a half in a factory making wind blades. After that, I was fortunate to get picked up by a great company. Usually 8-12 hour days. 6-8 weeks traveling the continental US 1 week at home is the industry standard if you’re a traveling tech.

I am still in 1987 with my grip and Weaver, keeping my right thumb under my left (support) hand. Need to get my support hand more active, thumb placement like shown here. Must learn these techniques, they are clearly superior. Lot of great info here, thanks!

@@paladinmorose6305 That's not entirely true. I don't medicate it. The only thing that suffers is that I tend to misplace tools and my time management leaves a lot to be desired. But, I can do really good precision work, whether it's carpentry, metalwork, etc. Whatever I touch becomes the best version of itself, but it does take more time for me to do something than if someone else did it.

I recently purchased a Staccato P 2011 with a Delta Point Pro and was having a hard time acquiring and retaining the sight picture with the red dot (my first with a pistol), and this video was a godsend. I played trumpet growing up, so I've always placed my left/off-hand grip in very much the same way I did while playing trumpet (claw grip). The small adjustment of moving my left thumb up higher to ride the slide (instead of on top of the base/first knuckle of might right thumb) immediately changed everything for me. Not only am I controlling better, but I am acquiring sight picture immediately now (I have trained dozens of hours without success), and I am maintaining the sight picture with better recoil control. Seriously, a huge thanks for this knowledge and video.

Yeah, mojo is cool. The main character of this channel is kinda... jerk. I know that joking is fine, but he's just being disrespectful to his guests. When you look how he behaves it makes you wanna kick his ass.

I’ve come back to watch this video a half dozen times and I’m always picking up something new that I didn’t the previous times. 18:50 - Mojo basically gives away his secret I’ve watched that part of the video so many times before and it’s only making sense now. But now that the principles of what he is saying is clicking with me, and it makes a huge difference in practice! Watch it til it makes sense in practice to you! Train! Train! Train! 🚂

I remember the first gun I ever shot when I was 10 was an old 1940s era featherweight 12 gauge loaded with slug rounds. I had bruises all over my shoulder. Guess it taught me to learn the proper way to control recoil

I was looking for a comment like that. I'm slow and smooth so I don't fumble like that. But he fumbled, fixed, shot, and holstered before I would have the second mag in. Made me realize that my dropleg velcro mag pouch isn't the brilliant idea I thought it was.

I’ve been in LEO for 18 years on the military side and on civilian and Mojo’s shot strings are probably the best I’ve ever seen. Gives me motivation to push harder at the range when I can. No limits 🤘🏻

Just going to put this out there that I never want to get into a gun fight with MOJO. His grouping was stupid tight, 2 holes and he shot 10 bullets in all of 2 seconds. You are my new hero bro, hats off to your disapline.

Put it at .25x speed. You can see his shots tracking upwards a bit. It’s very slight, but it’s there. Definitely wouldn’t see it at normal speed.
