    54 years old . Been lifting for the last six years and of all the compound lifts this is the best and probably the most difficult. But no need to use a ton of weight if this is new to someone or hard to do . Just start out with the barbell and get technique and form down and even increased minimal progressive overload will yield results

    Tried the continental clean today... I got the “you’re gonna die” comment...lol. It’s more comfortable for me to get to front rack with more weight on the bar.. not fun resting it on abs.. I don’t have strongman girth around the middle. bodyweight (150lbs) continental clean and push press. Cause I’m trying to get into strongman. Thanks for the tutorial and great videos and channel!!

    Question about the final T-Rex clean into front rack position - do you squeeze the axel and actually rotate it in your hands as you do the clean or allow your hands to rotate around the axel and just catch it on your shoulders? Was working this movement for the first time on the gym today (in a new neversate tshirt I might add) and couldn't quite figure out this part.

    Brian, with a normal clean and press, the barbell makes contact with the body (usually around the upper thigh/hip) and then begins to travel upward. Is the beginning on the continental clean, more of a high pull (no contact) to as high as you can get it?

  • @QQyoko
    @QQyoko7 жыл бұрын

    Not sure I'll ever do a continental clean & press, but I routinely refer others (*b&w cut* and myself, over and over again) to the 3-part deadlift series, so here's another shameless plug for that.

    In strongman competitions, do you have the right to get it overhead however you can? What I mean is, can you clean it behind the back and from back rack position push/press/jerk it overhead ("Arthur Lift")? This is very important for me to know. I would really appreciate an answer! Best regards!

    hey Brian. a bit off topic. saw a guy at the gym doing a strange move. looks like a deadlift but instead of the bar in front of you it was behind. so instead of pulling up your shin he pulled up his calf. any idea what this guy was doing? I have never seen that done before.

    Who the hell do you think who you are ? Insulting... really ? I'm interested in History of german Immigrants who settled down in the US because of religious prosecution. Many of them setteled down in specific states and regions. I asked him about his Familyorigin not where he is living. This two things are different. Next time before you insult somebody you should rethink and take Brians Words in the ending of pretty much every Video for real... be nice to each other!
