Pandora issue.. I can’t seem a way to change/scroll stations? I am stuck in the one station

I want to know what’s the difference between the mode shown and the model I have the DEH-S31BT. They look identical except for illumination color and the function and button layout is identical yet mine isn’t compatible with my iPhone. I can control navigation and music source but nothing else.

With your 1987 C10 will you be using a 1 DIN in-dash receiver? Or a custom installed 2 DIN receiver? If you are using a 1 DIN I recommend the Pioneer DEH-80PRS. I'm a bit confused. I have the MVH-S310BT (European version, red backlight) and the app just doesn't seem to recognize the connection I have with the radio. Now I checked the manual again and I was a bit shocked when I read the smaller text saying that the app is not compatible with Apple Products? Is this really (still) the case? This wasn't clear when buying. :(

With an inconsistent re-connect, please be sure your phone is not connected to another device like a headset or a portable speaker. This can block the in-dash receiver from connecting. I recommend to install the latest firmware for your Pioneer MVH-S310BT. You can find it here: www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Digital+Media+Receivers/MVH-S310BT#downloads After you install the latest firmware, I recommend to delete all phones from the in-dash receiver's Bluetooth Memory. Next, delete the in-dash receiver from the phone's Bluetooth memory and restart your phone. Start the phone pairing process from the beginning. Is there only 2 option for clock display? Analog and stacked clock? I don't like the stacked clock. Can you just have horizontal clock?

As of 2020 February, I'm not aware of a way to change the clock display other than what you've described when using the Pioneer Smart Sync App. Please be sure to keep the latest version of the app on your phone. Anybody have issues with the older pioneers not playing albums on the usb flip drives skipping songs not working please let me know thank you

Just installed mine MVH-S310BT but I can't make it work with the Smart Sync APP on iPhone. It tries to connect but nothing happens. Installed latest firmware on both devices. Very disappointed. Also it is somehow different than the S310BT that is shown in the video: it has red backlight and no MIXTRAX logo and different button layout.

The video above is made for the North American market. The European version of the product is different that what is seen in the video. What iPhone do you have? What version of iOS is installed on the phone? Restart your phone. Are you attempting to make a wired or a Wireless connection to the in-dash receiver with the Smart Sync app? Did you choose that type of connection in the System Menu on the in-dash receiver? If you want a wireless connection, did you pair your phone to the in-dash receiver through Bluetooth before trying the Smart Sync app connection? These instructions are for users in the US and Canada. 1. Go to Pioneer's web site and download the update to a USB flash drive. 2. Insert the flash drive into the in-dash receiver. 3. Begin the update from the in-dash receiver. If there is a firmware update for your particular in-dash receiver you'll need to download it from Pioneer's web site. Or scroll down to the bottom of your in-dash receiver page and find downloads. Download the update to a USB flash drive and follow the instructions included with the download. I just got the mvh sb221bs there is no firmware and the app hasn't open since the first day I installed it. am I doing something wrong I really want this to work as easy as this youtube video.

Please check the Pioneer model number. I don't recognize MVH-SB221BS. The receiver and the phone need to be connected through Bluetooth for the Pioneer Smart Sync app to work. Depending upon what the music source is, it may be cleaner through a wired connection to USB. And when you have the phone plugged in, you have the added benefit of charging the phone. I recommend to adjust the volume control on the phone when playing back through Bluetooth. Start with the phone's volume control set at about 30-40% and see of you are getting better sound quality through the receiver at different volume levels on the receiver. If this is working better slowly increase the volume on the phone to about 50% and test a little more. If it's still good, go to about 60%, and then 70%. At some point on your phone / receiver combination, you'll reach a point of noise coming from the phone or overloading the receiver's input. Back the phone's volume down a few percent for best sound quality. The overall design is very similar, however, Pioneer MVH-S310BT is a North American design in-dash receiver. Pioneer MVH-S410BT is a European design model. Depending upon where you plan to use this product this may make a big difference to you. The AM/FM tuner operation is designed for local operation. Pandora is available in North American but not in Europe. For an older iPhone I recommend to use the wired connection to listen to music through the in-dash receiver. This will also charge your phone when it's plugged in. Depending upon the model number of your in-dash receiver, you will need to press the SRC button to get to the iPhone/iPod source, when the phone is plugged in. You can also use the Bluetooth Audio Source if you want. For better sound quality you might consider playing music stored on a USB flash drive. You can play high quality audio files through USB. Pioneer in-dash receivers output Bluetooth Phone Call audio to the FRONT speaker outputs and FRONT RCA outputs only. Bluetooth Audio, or music played from your phone, will play through all outputs, both front and rear. Your in-dash receiver may be installed incorrectly. There is an easy way to test it. Can you hear phone calls. If you fade the system all the way to the front and can not hear music, that means the FRONT audio outputs are not connected in your system. I am having a problem. When I try to manually change stations on the radio the buttons cycle through my preset stations but will not allow me to go through all radio stations. Anyone know whats going on? Btw the buttons if held down will search .

You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer DEH-S31BT behind the detachable face. What model number of Pioneer in-dash receiver do you have? The model number of the in-dash receiver is printed on the face of the radio usually near a corner. Please explain the issue a little more clearly. Is it like you hear the turn signal? Or are you hearing the turn signal? This is not normal operation for a Pioneer in-dash receiver. Live Simulation works when playing back music that is stored on your connected phone. In the Pioneer Smart Sync App, choose the App Music Source. No. The Pioneer Smart Sync App does not work with the Pioneer DEH-X5900BT. A different option may be the Pioneer ARC app. As of 2021 May, the Pioneer ARC app works with iPhone 5 to iPhone X, and selected Android based phones. The Pioneer ARC App is compatible with selected Android phones operating the Android OS version 4.1 up to 7.1.2. The phone must also support AOA (Android Open Accessory) version 2.0. Ultimately the compatibility depends upon the individual smartphone. Please note, some Android based devices will connect via AOA 2.0 but may not work properly or emit sounds due to the phones software design regardless of the OS version. Please be sure to update the Pioneer Smart Sync app to the latest version from the App Store. What model number of Pioneer in-dash receiver do you have? You can usually find the model number printed near one of the corners of the face of the in-dash receiver.

No. You don't need to use the Pioneer Smart Sync app at all if you don't want to. The app simply gives you a graphical user interface for the receiver. This is very likely an installation issue. Here are a few possibilities: First, how many speakers are connected to the in-dash receiver? Pioneer in-dash receivers are designed to operate up to 4 speakers in the vehicle. 2 in the front of the vehicle, and 2 in the back of the vehicle. You can't just attach as many speakers as you want. This will lower the impedance shown to the receiver's internal amplifier and cause it to overheat and shut down. If you are attempting to operate more than 4 speakers, this could cause the receiver to protect itself from damage at higher volume levels. A 2nd possibility is a speaker wire is touching metal somewhere in the vehicle. Possibly behind the in-dash receiver, or in a door behind the speaker or some other location. This can also cause the receiver to protect itself from damage at higher volume levels. A 3rd possibility could also be simply a poor connection for one of the Power or Ground wires on your in-dash receiver. This type of electronic noise, or alternator noise, is usually associated with a poor ground connection for the in-dash receiver. Please return the vehicle to the installer and demonstrate the issue or check the wiring. The Black wire needs a good ground connection to metal in the body or frame of the vehicle. I recommend to restart your phone. Delete the Pioneer Smart Sync App from the phone, and the re-install the app from the app store. Delete the phone from the in-dash receiver's Bluetooth Memory. And delete the in-dash receiver from the Phone's Bluetooth memory. Now begin the phone pairing process from the beginning. I just figured it out. I looked deep inside the manual that came with the stereo, DEH-S31BT in my case, and found that it doesn't support apple devices at all.

I returned the DEH-S31BT and got the MVH-S310BT and now the app and everything works normally.

My pioneer app only has information... It started normal looking

The Pioneer Smart Sync app works with iPhone in Europe and in North America. iPhone 5 or newer with iOS 10.3 or newer is required for operation. iOS 13 is recommended for more modern iPhones. What is the model number of Pioneer in-dash receiver you have? You can usually find the model number near one of the corners of the face of the in-dash receiver. Pioneer MVH-S310BT Red European version is designed to operate with Android Phones only. Not with iPhone. For iPhone operation I recommend Pioneer MVH-S420BT seen here: www.pioneer-car.eu/eur/products/stub-37

Please note this app requires iOS 11.0 or newer. I recommend to press the in-dash receiver's microprocessor reset button. You'll need a paperclip or some other small point to press the microprocessor reset button. You can find the microprocessor reset button on the Pioneer MVH-S320BT behind the detachable face. Frist I buy alpine ute92bt I returned because I don't like the sound and other and now I just buyit the pioneer MVH S510 bt, I like it and I what to keep it it sound great with bose sistem in my alfa Romeo,I do not know how to make the settings for the audio I things is sound more better than that, anyway I was disappointed for one think after all bevouse I was excited of the in Dash app pioneer smart sync to my iPhone x works great butttttttt I buy it an iPad yesterday special for navigation in my car with this great app yours but I have a ugly surprise the the app is not full compatible to ipad air is not on full screen and I was disappointed for that because the people wants in the car always bigger screen is a great app why not? Please development do something for iPad compatibility ad full screen on the iPad air 9,7 or later!hope is coming sun this because is pity!

@@pioneerelectronics I have the deh-s31bt. It has everything on the radio settings shown on this video. I’ll have to update the radio firmware that’s the last thing I can think of. Because everything else is the same as the video. It just won’t connect to my phone. (Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max)

You can find it here: www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Car/Walmart/DEH-S31BT#downloads Please watch this video for help in connecting your iPhone to the receiver through Bluetooth: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eKFmt5N8m5TXnLg.html If you phone still won't connect to the receiver, please be sure your phone is not connected to another device like a headset or a portable speaker. This can block the in-dash receiver from connecting. Also, please be sure your in-dash receiver is not connected to another phone. This will also block the receiver from connecting to your phone. I recommend to delete the Pioneer in-dash receiver from your phone’s Bluetooth memory. Next, power your phone off and back on. Make sure your phone has the Bluetooth switched on and make sure your phone is NOT actively connected to other Bluetooth devices like a headset or a portable speaker. This may block in the in dash receiver from connecting to the phone. Next, I recommend to delete all phones from the in-dash receiver’s Bluetooth memory and restart the vehicle. Next begin the phone pairing process. Open the Bluetooth window on your phone. Make sure Bluetooth is switched on. Keep the phone’s Bluetooth window open. This will make the phone visible to other Bluetooth devices. Make sure no other phones are actively connected to the in dash receiver when you attempt to pair a new phone. On the in dash receiver, make sure Bluetooth visibility is switched on. For the Pioneer Smart Sync App, I recommend to delete the app from your phone. Then download and install a fresh copy of the app to your phone.

Deckerd Otto so I connect with a bluetooth phone, I can listen to music, receive calls, I have applications installed on my phone when I am looking for a device on the phone, i.e. radio, I am searching for device and there is zero reaction, IOS version is 12.1.2
