Thanks bro now i know about this sound things
Man I been looking for so long for a video on this my only questions is can I daisy chain a second pair of speakers to this or should I do it another way? also I have a powered subwoofer where would you recommend that to connect...also balanced or unbalanced XLR?
@CedohKingdom
3 жыл бұрын
Nice question bro: yes you can chain join the other speaker if the amp has both channel connected bt i have only 1 one speaker connected, connect the other speaker to the 2nd channel, xlr balanced or unbalanced! Xlr should be balanced. But to connect a powered subwoofer you don't need an amplifier connect it direct from the amp with balanced xlr.
Good video and explanation bro thanks for sharing this.
Cheers 🍻for a great tutorial man 👌

Good question, use aux sends to connect powered speakers direct to mixer because powered speakers don't need amplifier.
good day, I have a t.amp --800 thomann Power amplifer and a mackie 12FX mixer and a Plye Passive speaker. I have the Plye speaker connected with 2 speakon cables (L and R) from the passive Plye speaker directly to t.amp 800 thomann power amplifier into L & R speaker connections with the other end of the speakon cables. From the Main out L&R of the mackie 12fx mixer 1/4 input to the T.amp 800 thomann power amplifier chanel A and Chanel B. I have 2 microphones connecected via XLR cables into channel 1 and channel 2 of the mixer. I have no sound coming out of the passive Plye speaker. I know that the speaker works yet i get no sound. All my cables and volume levels are up and working.. I cannect get any sound of the PA speaker. Any thoughts? thank-you
How about if your mixer has 24 channel, you are going to connect the XLR cable in Microphone channel 1 outs to XLR cable line in amplifier???

24 channels or 18 channels mixer, all mixers have only 2 main output. Y connect to mic input?

You shouldn't put stuff on top of that mixer. You're going to screw up up banging stuff on the faders. Someone needs to teach you how to do things
You are going to break your mixer knobs. Don't place anything on a mixer
You could have done better
By the way you set up your channel gain, master output level and the amplifier input sensitivity controls, you are wasting at lest 14 dB of dynamic range. That's 14 dB lost in the signal to noise ratio and gain structure of the system. Engage the channel PFL button, set the channel fader to unity gain (0 dB) position, adjust the gain control until the channel input signal registers 0 (that is equivalent with +4 dBU nominal level) mark on the level meters, then raise the master output fader to the maximum (+10 dB) position. This way you are using the the while dynamic range of the mixer, registering an effective output level of +14 dBU to the amplifier. Finally, on the amplifier back side set the input sensitivity switch to +4 dBU (1.23 V RMS) position and, on the front panel adjust the input sensitivity controls for a gain reduction of 14 dB, which is equivalent to 10 o'clock or 11 o'clock position on the front panel. Now you have maximized the dynamic range and optimized the gain structure for the best signal to noise ratio throughout the system. The mixer will not clip, the amplifier will not clip and will be able to deliver it rated power output without distortion. Use only the master output level control on the mixer to control the output level of the amplifier. All you have to do now is to ensure that the speakers power rating and the amplifier power rating are compatible.
