An abundance of thanks for this video! We have a Samsung tv and my mom has a Samsung phone and we mirror the two but we never hear the volume on the tv only on the phone. This is quite annoying because we conduct zoom meetings twice a week. The fact the tv automatically picks up the volume from the iPad is such a relief and will definitely help us with our meetings. Again many thanks!

Wow looks really simple, picking up a cable this evening, have the adaptor already, not a smart tv but plenty of hdmi to choose from, should work, excited to try.

So I have a cable (it's not as large as your cable) and I connected it exactly the way you demonstrated -- with apple adaptor, and into HDMI port. I turned it on and off several times, tried more than one port, made sure it was the right input on TV, and couldn't get it to work. So, I tried another TV, did the same thing, and it still doesn't work. The iPad says "now playing on TV" when I hit the correct source/input on the TV, but the TV just says "no signal." The weird thing is that this worked about four months ago (same setup and everything), but I was away and now I'm pluging it back in and it doesn't work. Do you think it is the cable?

What about if you want to watch movies on apple TV or any movie app.. Will it give the full screen size???

You tube works , not if you are watching Netflix or Prime Video - only audio but no video-do you have a solution?

This is going to sound silly so I apologize, but what if that TV screen was tilted on its side? I'm able to to this with a monitor but it's mounting on its side (it's set up as a teleprompter for music). One would thing you'd simply rotate the iPad to portrait, however that doesn't work. Am I trying to accomplish the impossible?

We recommend using a cable.

If you buy an Apple TV, you can use it to stream wirelessly from your iPad.

I believe you can only have one display, mirrored. Unless you're playing media from a video app (netflix).

How about being able to connect a WIRELESS KEYBOARD to iPad and display it on TV using your setup method?

With this test with cable lightning to HDMI to connect iPad to LG Tv could we play Disney plus with video and sound from iPad to the tv…?! My LG TV does not have WebOs

How do you turn airplay off so my iPad and tv play at same time? I have the same set up and it used to play both but. Ow it doesn’t . I have gone into settings and set it to ask first, but it still automatically goes to airplay

Help!! I have tried two different hdmi adapters for my iPhone & iPad but only iPhone works when connected to my 55” TV. Can u tell me why not the iPad. I have looked at eBay and & the adapters say they will work in iPads. I look forward for a solution. Thanks

Please note the adapters include having the usb cable connected but a message appears that they are not being charged which I encounter no issues with iPhone.

If the signal keeps cutting out/dropping, it's usually a bad cable or you're not using the proper Lighting to HDMI adapter from Apple. It makes a big difference.

You just need a HDMI splitter.

This doesn’t work anymore, even with the apple lighting cord.

Sounds like you have a bad connection. Commonly this is caused by lint/debris being in the lightning port

The Apple one is triple the price but offers easier integration if you already have their hardware. It also comes in space grey.
