What a change for someone to explain simply and quickly what has to be done. Thank you . So many videos run for 10 minutes before getting to what can be said in 5 minutes. Well done.
Method 2 works for me 🙋🏾♂️ I've had the cords the entire time, and...wow! It works! Thanks!
Thanks. Just connected my soundbar to my tv using the headphone socket and it works great. Just subscribed. Great channel.
BTW with the connections I made, the Apple TV play sound ONLY through the TV and not the F550. Help!
Thank You! This was very helpful.
Thank you very much for this information. My older digital JVC speaker was going and so using a sound bar was the best option and now I have clear as a bell sound.
thank you! Your post just helped me tremendously. I was gonna send the sound bar back, but thanks to you I have it up and running!
Thank you! It really helped to know what the Opt jack on the TV looks like.
Your a life saver bro💪🏾
Thanks for the help just hooked it up via the AV/audio jack cable, quick question though you mentioned that my tv remote could control the volume how does one go about doing this? right now i have to use the soundbar remote.
Ok if I plug up my sound bar up back of the TV plugs. Will my subs and two other speakers work as well with the sound bar connected?
Thank you, very helpful, very simple.
Greaaaaaat video,, that second method works for me!
So I did the method that you had with RCA cables and I could hook it up to my TV with the sound bar on of course in the same setting that the summer supposed to be on and its not playing sound through the sound bar... Why is that? I have a Samsung TV and it does not have a digital tonsle input for it so that is why I'm using the RCA method.. But there is no audio coming out from it. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME.
Great video, thanks.
Hey, when you connected the RCA/Headphone jack cable, were you able to use your remote to turn the sound up/down after all? I have the exact same sound bar as you and my TV has the headphone jack. Thanks!

I have the Samsung HDTV with a cable box, Samsung HW F550, and Apple TV connected in the following way and want to know if it is the BEST way to connect these three so that the soundbar is used as the sound source. The F550 has HDMI in connected to the cable box HDMI. The Apple TV connects to the F550 through an optical cable. The Apple TV connects to the TV through an HDMI cable. I use the F550 remote to turn on the F550 and the HDTV with the source as TV and use the F550 remote to change the source to HDMI to use the Apple TV remote. I turn the TV sound OFF and use the F550 remote to control sound. Is there a better way to do this? Thank for any help. Larry
the toss link is all i have for an output, so does that mean thats all i can use?

Danny you only have to make 1 of the 3 methods work, not all 3
Which method gives the best sound quality or doesn't it matter?

If and when you buy a sound bar doesn't it come with all those cables? or do you have to buy those cables separate?
When I connected my new soundbar ( Goodmans GDSB02BT )red/white and jack plug it does not allow me to control the sound with my TV remote . Have I done somethging wrong or is there a fault on the soundbar
I've plugged in the RCA cable from soundbar to tv as per method 1 however when I turn a movie on. The movie sound is still not projecting through to the soundbar. Any ideas? Is it cause I'm possibly.playing the movie through chrome cast ? Thanks
What if I do not have the optional connector on my tv ? How do I hook up my sound bar without it?
HiYa, I wonder if you could help me put in simple words ? I have my Sky + on the bottom shelf of my TV stand, on the middle shelf I have the Sony sound bar with wireless sub woofer next to it, then I have my Blu ray player and my Samsung 50" smart TV but not with the 3D function. I have the optical cord supplied with the sound bar, I also have an HDMI lead but I don't remember how to connect it all ? At the moment I have got the high speed HDMI cable from my TV to the sound bar and I get the TV sound coming through no problem, for some reason I have the optical lead also going from my TV to my Sky + box. It sounds as though it should be quite simple but when you have suffered a stroke at the age of 51 it is very complicated for me. Basically All I want is instructions (SIMPLY PLEASE) of what cable goes where ? or if I need to buy another HDMI cable ?
Thank you so much for breaking this down for me. It helped me tremendously.
I have got the RCA to Aux cable along with my soundar but unfortunately my led TV and soundar both don't have RCA PORT then how I can connect ?
I was trying to get this to work with my xb1 but it wouldn't work. So I used an aux cord and plugged it into my controller. It works!

You have tv speakers turned off in settings and your Soundbar is not set to correct input?
HI, i have a Hitchi 40hxc06u and a celsus sound bar, I have tried using the red and white connections but no sound! please help!
The best way is by using optical cable. This way you can hear sound out of both tv speakers & sound bar at same time & its louder. Hmdi arc or audio cable you only hear sound out of the sound bar.
whats best for using head phone jack for bar type speakers to raise the volume up on TV or Volume up on speakers and Low on TV I do have a choice to leave one new [ speakers ] or the other [ TV volume control ] to raise the volume .which is best?

My bro's tv is quite old and i dont think its got ARC. Will a toslink from soundbar to android box do the job please?
My rca cables don't work, but work when I connect it to a optical adapter to my other tv
I have a round plain optical cable and a head phone from TV to sound bar ,which is better?

Depends on the audio track you are listening to. In most cases digital would be the preferred connection however there are audio tracks where, arguably, a listener would prefer the analog stereo headphone connection
I have a Samsung PS-43-F4000 TV with no HDMI ARC or optical audio cable that I am trying to hook to to a CT380 soundbar. I have HDMI cable hooked up from an android box to my TV. Got an RCA cable to connect the R/W audio out from the TV to the Analog jack of the soundbar, which I figured would be the only way to get it to work, but it doesn't. Could you assist?

coby soundbar cmsp90 to Philips smart tv? how to connect
Hi ,thanks for the great info ,I am hopeless when it comes to anything technical.KZread has helped so many times.Ok ,I have a question for you ,I hope you`ll be able to help me. We`ve bought my elderly mother a new Bush smart TV for Christmas.Last year we bought her a soundbar. Now ,wouldn`t the sound be clearer enough on a brand new flat screen TV ,or do we need to hook up the sound bar aswell?? Thanks for your videos!!

Our answer is a two part answer: (1) We can't speak to every brand and model of TV however our findings are that the sound quality in the newest AND thinnest TV's is poor compared to considerably older TVs containing more substantial speakers, etc. (2) If you choose to incorporate the soundbar we'd recommend using the Red/White wire, connecting the audio OUT on the TV to the Red / White input on the soundbar. We should "maybe" first get into the settings of the TV to determine if you can (a) turn off the TV speakers AND (b) change the audio output settings to variable; by doing this the TV's remote volume up/down button will control the soundbar volume automatically. Here's a link to a helpful video kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z4BtsZaym8i1hrQ.html

We use a wired solution for that by connecting the Red/White audio output on back of TV to a separate amplifier that powers outdoor speakers.

I need help! My Smart TV doesn't have an Audio Output rather it has CVBS1 and CVBS2. I wanted to put an external speakers while watching TV on my Smart TV. The Smart TV also doesn't have Optical Audio Port. From what I can see, it has VGA, CVBS1, CVBS2 (Yellow,Red,White) HDMI only. Is there a way for me to still use a soundbar or external speakers? I have 2 USB port at the back of the TV. Also, it has an earphone 3.5mm jack which I tried but I can barely hear a sound.

So for christmas we got a Bluetooth RCA sound bar only to find out my PS4's Bluetooth feature either doesn't support this brand, or sound bars in general. Hooking the bar up to the tv using red and white cables though, no sound is coming from the bar. Are there audio settings on the PS4 and/or tv I'm setting up wrong?
