How to Configure LACP on Cisco Switches | FS

LACP (Link Aggregation Control Protocol) integrates multiple links as one single path to increase bandwidth between switches. Here’s how to configure 1G LACP on two Cisco switches-Cisco 2960x and Cisco 4948E-F, and guide to configure LACP of four 10G links to get 40G. 10GBASE-SR SFP+ modules, LC to LC fiber patch cables and 10G SFP+ AOC cables are needed.

Can LAG be made in a tree structure, that 1 link to one device and another link connecting to another

can i do LACP with normal port throught cat6 ?

Not sure what you mean by normal port, I assume you mean RJ45 switch port. In that case yes, no problem if one end of the switch supports it and the other end of the switch also supports it, doesn't matter which cable is transferred over. The maximum number of ports that can combine per switch is 8 ports(depending on the switches, maybe 4 too). Also, LACP is really common, actually, you can do it between server and router Etc.
