Great information! As a 71 year old mature dry-skinned woman, the concept of powder under the eyes was a "no way"! I had tried them all and it was always horrendous for me. That is until I tried the E.L.F. Perfect Finish HD powder. It is very finely milled and works like a charm on mature undereye skin even with corrector and concealer. Will give a try to the color corrector you used Sharalee. I currently use Nikol Johnson's Just Peachy and Kosas concealer. It has been a win win for me as I have one eye with a large bag and also have the blue-purple troughs. Aging definitely isn't for the faint of heart! LOL ❤Roberta

Thank you so much for including us 70 year old and up in your tips. I’ve worn makeup all my life and thoroughly enjoy the process. But sometimes now I just want to throw my hands up and say I give up. So much changes in mature skin with texture, pores, wrinkles, and lines. What worked well at 40 definitely does not work at 70. This series is fabulous, and I hope you will do some more makeovers on your more “seasoned” friends!

Oh yes, the elf HD powder is probably the first one I used that I felt like didn't make everything look dry and cakey! I need to get that again and compare it to the MUFE powder...it's definitely a much more cost effective option!😆 I've not tried any of Nikol Johnson's products but sounds like I need to add her corrector to my list😘 Thanks for the recommendations, sweet friend!

Hi Sharalee! Great information as always. I have been so confused on the corrector vs concealer concept and this makes sense to me so I will be on the lookout for a peach/pink corrector. My question is in relation to the face concealer - what do you suggest for these pesky dark spots/age spots? I have tried dabbing with some concealer but it just doesn't do the trick. Help! Love you and the video! 😘♥

Thank you for the video. I often don’t use concealer due to the caking issue. Plus I have more discoloration on my lower cheeks ( think red spots where it looks like someone grabbed your face) but this was helpful. I think it will work well there also. I have not tried almond oil, but have used vitamin E oil for a while. I like it. But I may try the almond next. Thanks for all your testing and instructions!! ❤❤

I’ll stand on a hill for the MUFE ultra HD powder to set the undereye! It’s flawless and doesn’t alter the concealer as much as most talc heavy powders. I had a small mini that lasted for almost a year, you need SO little to just set. I’m ordering the Almond oil, I’ve seen you use it for years now and I’m just too curious . Some Eye creams can cause my eyeliner to smudge & look all crazy hopefully an oil will absorb better.

I really enjoyed the tips in this video! I have a lot of trouble with every concealer I've tried. After applying setting powder it looks so dry!! I know I'm applying too much powder. I'm going to buy the Makeup Forever loose setting powder and maybe the rollerball. Thank you so much Sharalee! I'll let you know how it looks.

@@SharaleesBoxOfChocolates will do! I use hydrating concealer. If I use a matte concealer it accentuates my fine lines and looks dry. Is the hydrating concealer best to use for a 59 year old?

I have VERY dark under eye circles (when I was in third grade a kid asked if I had a black eye) and it has just gotten worse as I have gotten older. I have never been good at makeup and tend to avoid it (except mascara and eye liner) because I am so horrible, but I am glad that I found your site. I am super pale, with deep dark circles. I don't know what would be best for me to use? I have tried going in to makeup places in Dillards etc and no one has good idea - usually the women are really young and darker skinned than me so they end up giving me products that leave me with orange circle under my eyes (and maybe I am not putting it on correctly). What do you suggest I do to get some "hands on" help with color and application?

I have seen influencers using chapsticks or lip balm. Quite a quick tip.

For me, I try to wash my concealer and foundation brushes after 3-5 uses and my eye brushes after about a week or so. That can vary depending on what types of products you're using, etc. Some wash after every use but I don't do that personally😘

😅😅😅definitely baking was made for teenagers and below 25 th years old, when I started to watch KZread maybe many years ago the makeup gurus started that thing and I wasn’t sure of what they were talking about end then I almost bought a huge bottle of baking powder literally so one day I was in Mexico visiting my parents and I saw my nice and maybe she was 13 yrs old and we were talking about makeup and I asked her that what baking means? And she told me maybe it’s something related with setting powder end then I started to lol 😂 because my ignorance and I tried it because everyone was doing it and I looked awful very older and caky so now I’m on my 50’s very soon 51 yrs old and I have been able to understand how many people on KZread sales their own opinion to marketing few people like you are profesional as a make up artist and I am always failed buying makeup because I am a shopaholic but I am trying to be more conscious about it like right now I’m thinking 🤔 do I need the ABH EYESHADOW PALETTE OR THE ND? And makes me feel sad but I’m moving packing and doing to many things but I have obsession with those 2 brands so I’m going to wait for sales because lately ABH is in TJMax all the time 🤷🏻‍♀️thanks for the tips of the concealer since one of your videos that I saw you using almond oil under the eyes I started to doing it and it works very good 👍🏻👋🏻🙋🏻‍♀️🙏

Oh, I would never be able to use oil under my eyes! I have a hard time with mascara giving me trouble under there! Even if I don't put mascara on my undereye lashes.

You might be surprised with the almond oil! Just use a small amount and it soaks in very well. Also, try using a tubing mascara and that will make all the difference! They form tubes on the lashes and will not smudge like traditional mascaras. Maybelline Snapscara (waterproof) or the Caliray Mascara are two that I love.
