These are gorgeous Margreth! Loving them. The rules you are using are some common rules of design…..not that I am an expert. Working in odd numbers….focal point being close to the center….overlapping creates depth….colour….the darkest colour will usually be your focal,point…..size….usimg different sizes creates interest and usually the focal point will be the largest item you see at the end….and it is on top with nothing overlapping it. Creating triangles leads your eye through the design. Those bird collages are gorgeous!❤❤❤

I love your collages. Very cool. I'm glad you showed us your earlier collages. I find that with my art that it's good to look back and see how you change things as you grow. Love your videos. But now I know to have a focal point and an interesting, but not too distracting, background. I also like the way you frame the heads. I love rule #1: Love it❣️

No matter how I try, I am still an angle and lines person. My lines don’t match up, but I don’t overlap my collages. Only after I’ve made a copy of the collage, do I put any focal points. I guess that’s in my DNA. But my life is spontaneous. I will be there to help at moments notice. Or decide we need a day trip when I wake up. I’ve always said I’m the lowest crafter and friends know they need to ask in advance if I have a card or journal they can purchase. Thanks for sharing.
