How to COGO a Traverse with ArcGIS Pro

Фильм және анимация

Did you know that you can create simple line and polygon boundaries using surveyed bearings and distances - and keep a record of these measurements in the attribute table? Learn how to use the Traverse tool to create line or polygon boundaries outside of a parcel fabric. yes, other than creatiing a traverse using a line feature with cogo enabled, is there a way to draw a polygon with cogo enabled?? trying to avoid the step of converting from line to polygon and just use cogo with polygon if that is possible. Thank you in advance

Hi @@michaelregan1802, Yes, you can directly create polygons using the Traverse tool. For reference, please consult the Introduction to COGO help topic [pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/editing/introduction-to-cogo.htm]. Near the bottom you will find the following information: Polygons can represent parcel areas enclosed by COGO lines. You can use a simple polygon feature class or manage parcel polygons in a parcel fabric. Polygon features can be created with the Construct Polygon tool by starting from selected COGO lines. Polygons can also be created using the Traverse tool. Thank you for your question and hope this helps!
