    Lovely video and a gorgeous family. I did it (Scafell Pike) a few weeks back and it struck me how amazing these kids are for doing this climb - hats off to you (and them)

    Thanks for your comment. Well done, Yes, Scaffel Pike is not easy, but now turn for Ben Nevis this summer time - and it looks like a challenge, all the best to you 👍

    Great content. Just finished walking the South West Coast Path with my son (Roman,9). We are looking to do 3 peaks this year and this is just what I needed to see. Great encouraging Dad

    Thank you. If you did Snowdon with kids you will make it in Lakes 👍 Wasdale Head is the easiest path there but a bit more challenging than Snowdon in terms of rocks and steepness. Hope you will enjoy it 🙂⛰

    From what I read elsewhere: car park is £9 full day, not free it it is said here. On another note: I am amazed small kids can climb such a big mountain ..

    Thank you for your comment, we parked at Wasdale Head Car Park (Both Overbeck and Nether Wasdale car parks do not have a pay and display machine. Please leave a donation in the box provided to help us look after the paths and landscape in Wasdale.) It is donation only, so most people are paying, and we also left donations. People can pay online instead when they have no change. Technically, it is 'free' from pay and display machines or tickets 🫡 Kids can make it, but they have to be really good with walking distances prior to this hike. Our kids are walking quite a lot, and they love hiking (little one a bit too young yet, so he was carried and fell asleep on the way down). 😀

    oh wow! Well done, kids! I am now feeling a bit of pressure to make it to the top as well 😂 I am watching loads of videos to understand the route, is there signs that guide us to the path or which map/app should I use? Thank you in advance and all the best for your family

  • @UnsupportedElephant

    @UnsupportedElephant

    I think you gonna make it 👍 Scafell Pike is more challenging than Snowdon because of rocky surface all the way but from Wasdale everyone can make it 😉 3 hours trek like climbing gentle rocky steps average 22 000 steps both ways. In terms of signs/map/app, there is not much network reception anyway, we did not have map, we just followed path and there were other people on the path so you wont get lost on Wasdale side (bear in mind weather conditions can quickly change and might be very misty sometimes) . Good luck and let us know how was it ?

    Sorry for so late reply but it is in Wasdale Car Park but you have to pass a small pub and keep driving for 2minutes and car park is there and if you miss it just try to find that white pub - I forgot the name - thanks
