    Thank you for this video...very helpful tutorial... If I may coin a noob suggestion....it would be helpful, at least for me, when besides of showing what is done, explain why it is done... I frequently run into things that are slightly different than what is featured in tutorial videos, and leave me at a loss..... Ofcourse it is helpful to be shown where to find things and how to do them....but knowing why you actually do them, and make one choice over the other would be really insightful. No critique, just a thought.....thanks again man.

    Great video, although I have a few questions. After cleaning the files I tried starting up skyrim as you did in the video with skse but instead of giving me the same message it gave you it instead actually started the game and I did not get the message. I did follow your next steps anyway, although was it even required anymore then? Also should I be cleaning creation club mods or nexus mods for that matter?

    I did not get the warning that there are files in my overwrite directory. The game just launched normally. Do I still have to click overwrite and create the SSEEdit Backup mod??? When I do it is in light italic letters has a red X and says "no valid game data".

    In the last step (create a mod for the overwrite files) the mod organizer says "no valid game data" for the created Mod, with a red square with a white x in it as flag. Is that a problem and if yes, what can i do to fix this?

    I tried doing this and even after following all the steps, my game continued to crash. I decided to uninstall my enb mod as I thought that was the issue, I'm not sure what I did wrong or how I broke it in the first place.

    Currently redoing my mod setup after a fresh install, is there a reason it's no longer recommended to clean the masters? I'm playing on 1.5.97 version if the version number matters on whether or not I should clean them.

    @@slverskull Well, I think it was always recommended not to ever clean Skyrim.esm, but it seems they are now saying there's no need to clean any of them at all. And "cleaning" some mods can stop them working, because what TES5Edit thinks is an error or a "dirty edit" is actually part of the mod. But you could try asking over at AFK Mods. That's run by Arthmoor, whose team developed the Unofficial Patches. In my current play through I downloaded the game fresh for SLE and did not clean anything, although I still have my own guide on how to do it. {:-:-:}

    @@slverskull PS I never use a Mod Mangler, either, as two of my favourite mods get broken by them as they have their own install/uninstall scripts and don't work if you use MO or Vortex. I've always installed manually, which made me ;learn how the game and mods work. {:-:-:}
