Hold the handle on the cleaning rod when pushing through not the rod it needs to twist to follow the twist of the rifle. That’s why the handle has bearings.
Some very good info there. BUT alway use a bore guide! Fibre, steel and alloy rods will, if they touch the bore, throat, chambre etc will damage it. Even a plastic coated rod will pick up dirt! Then, over time it will score the metal of the barrel. So, alway use a bore guide!
