YOU should NEVER blow your clipper from the mouth because you're adding even more bacteria from your saliva onto the clipper....lol Great Vid though!

Never, never wash your blades in water base solutions. That's the best way to destroy your clippers and blades. You can take the blade off and clean it with barbercide, but you have to make sure you dry it properly to prevent discoloration and rust. Best to just use petroleum base blade wash to clean your blades with ,such as andis or oster wash. You can use other petroleum base solutions such as lighter fluid, break fluid and the likes. Using water base solutions not only destroy your clippers, but put you in danger of an electrical shock.

do you dilute the barbicide with water before soaking the clippers? Or do you use it full strength?

I heard barbercide is only for the combs, guards and holders and not the blades. Is that true? I heard it rusts the blades.

Don't use Barbicide like that guy demonstrated. Detach the blades, brush off any loose hair, I wipe my blades down with 99% isopropyl alcohol, the higher 91 % or 99 % has little water. Immerse the blades in a mixture of Barbicide for only 10 mins. I thoroughly dry using tissue and air dry using my hairdryer. Reattach the blades and oil them. I brush off loose hair between cuts and spray the blades and housing with a disenfectant clipper spray by Andis and oil the blades after 2or 3 haircuts. Mix 2oz. Barbicide concentrate to 1 gallon distilled water. Just don't leave anything in Barbicide for more then 10 mins. It will destroy your combs and brushes and your metal cutting tools will rust. That's just what I do, good luck.

There is a Barbicide certification course you can download , after completing the test you can print up the certificate and display it in a frame. It's easy and free.

Sorry Kenneth , 2 oz. Barbicide to 32oz in your jar is the correct mix. The timing is definitely 10 mins for immersion. Then rinse off and dry. Forget the other mixing directions that's for other disenfectants.

Never never never put clippers in pure Barbicide. Your supposed to dilute the solution with water. Then run your clippers into the solution.

Also when sanitizing them they should be in the solution for ten minutes to correctly sanitize.
