What I just did was disassemble mine as much as possible, remove al the orings and plastic pieces (the plastic around the lid had to stay for obvious reasons), placed all the pieces, including the filter, in a sonic cleaner with hot water and acid-based brass cleaner (typically used by reloaders to clean spent casings), and ran for 480 seconds. All the parts came out looking shiny and brand new, and it fixed the issue of not picking up very much soluition/watery foam. Also was able to re-use the filter. Obviously this is only economical if you already have these things on-hand, but for anyone reading this who might have the appropriate tools and supplies, this is a viable option without having to spend $1 extra or wait for shipping. Now it's spraying foam as thick as Barbasol. Adam's basic foam cannon w/ 1.1mm orifice, Ryobi 2300 psi 1.2 gpm washer, and Adam's Mega Foam.

I have one I bought of his site, and I having the worst time with it. It worked great 2 times before the I couldn’t get good foam. I’m trying to give it a chance and clean it, change to a different soap before I toss it out. Let hope it can get results like you.

Just a couple of weeks ago I clean my DTLRSupplies MJJC Cannon. I guess I wasn’t maintaining it properly, I discovered that I had some kind of dried soap/waxy build up at the ball/tube. Now watching this video it all makes sense. The filters were fine but I still replaced them with the spares that came with my foam cannon.

Josh. I love watching your videos. I knew to clean out the bottle.A good tip was to open the valve fully when spraying water through the bottle to try and really blow out the foam filter. Awesome info. Thank you.

Good review my friend 👌 👍. Most of the time I like to use a special cleaner for coffee makers, kettles, taps etc. Safe for O-rings, with a mixture of 100ml and 900ml of water I spray it until nothing is left . Most of the time when I dismantle my foam guns for inspection, everything is impeccable with no trace of scale or limestone. I think it serves well to push back the maintenance opening time. A 1:1 mixture with white vinegar also works well and is cheaper, but I trust more the product dedicated to descaling coffee makers specially designed not to damage all kinds of O-rings like the onyx descaling concentrate.

Been doing a complete clean every time I use my MJJC or Griots Brilliant Finish cannon. empty all the soap on the car, rinse the container with water until no bubbles come out of it, fill it up to the top with clear water, put the nozzle on and run the cannon until the container is empty again. That spray is way more than 30 seconds, but it thoroughly rinses all the internals. While I'm doing that, the foam is dwelling on the car, and when the cannon is clean, I'm ready for my contact wash and rinse. No foam cannon performance issues or degradation in performance for several years.

Saw a video about the MJJC foam cannon where it wasn't throwing much foam after a number of car washes. Guy replaced the foam filter with another MJJC three stage but the foam cannon still labored at producing foam. He reached out to MJJC and they told him to remove the stainless ball and the end of the feed tube and soak it in white distilled vinegar for 24 hrs. After doing so the rich foaming action of the MJJC returned to like new condition. The soap used and the dilution ratio was the same before and after the steel ball cleaning. So, my question is, would soaking the old foam filter in the same distilled vinegar solution from time to time clean the foam filter from contaminates like waxes and sealants like it did with the steel ball? Seems to me what's good for the goose is good for the gander. What do you think Josh?

Hey josh, love your videos. What I normally do is run hot water with a citrus degreaser that’s diluted on the foam cannon and run it same way. I haven’t popped open a foam cannon yet, but I’m sure it will work the same way.

Hi Josh, I understand replacing the foam maker stone/mesh but what about soaking it in TSC or something to just melt the crud and pop it back in?

Hey Josh! Great vid! I bought a brand new MJJC S v3.0 and used it (twice) with Adam’s Car Shampoo (Blue) but it is not making barely any suds, also it empties the canister in a matter of seconds. Would this (cleaning it) be something I should do to try and improve it? I already changed the orifice for the 1.1mm one. I have a Greenworks 2300 brushless PW. Other than that I might try deionized water but I have seen other people with similar setup and theirs work.

@kristianrverasantiago1856. I have the exact same set up as you. I use city water for my car detailing. My MJJC v3.0 just started lacking in the foam department. I took the mesh filters out and soaked them in P&S Brake Buster over night then ran hot water over them to rinse out. It helped a lil bit. I do have a back up Tool Daily foam cannon. I'm gonna try the White Distilled Vinegar that you mentioned. I'm also gonna try to boil the Mesh Filters in HOT 🔥 WATER. I only Use P&S Pearl Shampoo.

Where can I purchase replacement foam filters for my MJJC cannon? Recently after not using it for a long time, it’s not producing thick foam like it used to. I’m guessing it’s due to a clogged filter

Wouldn't it be quicker and less wasteful to just take off the bottle and do the rinse rather than spraying out all the remaining soap? I also dip the pickup tube in some clean water during the rinse too.

Have a snapper 3400max pressure washer with a 1/2” quick connect. Any recommendations on a foam cannon I could use. Tried to message mjjc a few days ago with picture showing 1/2” outside diameter and no response.

Is this possible to do on a Twinkle star? I get it popped open and don’t see any mesh anything just the clip that closes and then the metal

Will flushing out the canister and then filling with hot water and use it like it was spraying foam work ? Seems like that would flush everything out .

Hi the one i have unbranded in my store is the MJJC foam cannon pro v2. I just ordered it without any logos.

If nozzle size for pw is 3 hole with a hole size 1.09mm, is size 1.1mm orofice on foam cannon to small for 2.4 gpm 3300 psi pressure washer?

So what it mean when your foam cannon won't spray nothing at all and becomes locked up when you press the trigger spray. Locked up as in its hard to remove from your spray gun. I had to get a hammer and knock it loose but it won't spray anymore

Yes, the foam pill can be cleaned. It's really not a filter but anyway... Depending on what it's plugged with I've had the best results with a ultrasonic cleaner and either stainless steel cleaner or a lye (drain cleaner) solution to dissolve out any crud.

@@robertchambers9774 You're welcome. They can definitely can be cleaned. They're made of stainless steel wire/mesh so they're pretty durable.

Mine stopped pulling from the bottle. Took it apart and cleaned everything and didn't help at all. I picked up a sunjoe from Walmart after watching your video on it. Pulled my 1.1 orfice out my broken cannon, put it in the sunjoe and has from first use blown away my original cannon.

I have a active ve52 pressure washer and I have the mtm hydro foam cannon, I heard I cant change the orfice to a 1.1 mm cause of the pressure washer so I would have to stay with the 1.25. I csnt get that sticky foam I'm getting a watery foam even when set to negative

In my testing with my ve52 the 1.25 is too big. It works but I prefer a 1.20 with the 52. A 1.1 will work but puts a lot more strain on the pressure washer and didn't make a huge difference for me.

Hi Pedro it sound like it just not punched all the way on. Take it back apart and make sure it’s functioning properly before putting the final pin back in!

My MJJC foam cannon has the standard, larger mesh filter (not the smaller ones with the foam piece in between). Does that mean it's a Version 1 unit? Just curious what the difference is between the V1 and the V2.

Does it also have the hex shaped body? The v2 has a round body. If yours is hex shaped it's a V1. I'm also not sure they made a v1 with the large mouth bottle. The taller skinny bottles are def V1's.

@@saviordream Sorry, that I don't know then. Did it come with spare parts in the box? Mine came with a spare red plug and the three foam generator pieces, two stainless meshes and a foam one that goes in between. I know MJJC sells the foam generator parts. Or did because I ordered them to try in another brand of cannon.

The v1 had the small red plugs that would be shipped with spares. the v2 doesnt need them cause they improved on the design. As far as the filters go... I think the MJJC foam cannon pro v1 should have shipped with the 3 piece filter just like the v2 but im not 100% sure

I fucking used mine once, literally finished spraying the car, put it down to rince, and when I went to spray it again to touch wash nothing comes out. I’m ready to lose my mind

If people have a budget of $100, there's no reason to buy anything but mjjc. Mtm is overrated tbh
