I adopted a cat 5 days ago, he is very active and whenever someone comes close or invades his personal space he starts freaking out and running all over the place. I tried cleaning his face but after that he was really mad. Idk what to do his face is all dirty now

Thank you for the advice!! I've been really considering your other video about trimming your cat's nails. Since my cat is older, he has a harder time retracting his claws so we get scratched accidentally a lot by him. He already lets me play with his paws so I think it won't be too hard, and it'll make it easier to clean his face too :D

Ah okay! I hope it helps! I trim their nails every week since they tend to accidentally scratch me. In the beginning they weren’t so happy. But it seems they enjoy it now.

Great and helpful videos. Thumbs up and thanks for the good work. Looking forward to seeing a video on how to stop a 5 month old kitten from scratching furniture. She has several different types of scratching boards and poles but just loves the upholstery.

Since you can't really rinse, I wouldn't put shampoo at all in the water. Remember that anything that goes on your cat gets ingested later and you definitely don't want your caf to swallow some shampoo.

We found a lost and injured cat in our garden and now it is a part of our family. She is very well behaved and friendly but absolutely hates water/bath time. This video helped us so much. The water doesn’t stress her out anymore and she really enjoys the soft warm cloth on her fur. We can’t thank you enough 💛

The reason to wash my cats face is eyes & nose. They get messy the most. I use warm wet cotton rounds & warm wet q-tips. In nose I spin one direction then the opposite & boogers come right out. I have 2 Ragdolls. They are very sweet & loving, a lot like yours.

Do ragdolls specifically have thin hair?

hey I think their hair similar to other cat breeds. But they sport a soft silky fur coat. It is very similar in texture and feel to rabbit fur. The Ragdoll breed is essentially a medium - long haired breed of cat. Hope that clears it up!

Would you recommend to do this for a kitten who came about a week ago? Her eyes and nose kept getting dirty I feel like I have to clean her no matter she will hate me

The face washing isn’t too invasive, So you can use the technique to keep their eyes and nose clean. Hope that helps!

How often should we clean our cats face?

I need some real help with this. I was under the impression that an indoor cat never needed a bath. I have been told so many different things I have begun to believe even vets have no idea. Most online sources claim a bath every 4-6 weeks for an outdoor cat. Some say 4-6 weeks for an indoor cat. Some say no more than 2 baths a month some say no more than 2 baths a year, The Grooming Society claims 4-6 weeks regardless of indoor or outdoor. My vet says to NEVER bathe them and to buy the clean wipes instead and to wipe them down every few weeks. It is so very confusing. All of my cats are DSH mix but they are each mixed differently. One in an Angora mix, one is a Persian mix and one is a calico. I do not want to stress them but my angora is always looking greasy, but her fur is the softest and cleanest to pet. My Persian overcleans to the point where he cleans the others and my calico is a lazy groomer. I gave my persian a bath after he was outside. One bath the day before his visit to the vet for shots and neutering. That was it. That was almost 2 years ago. He is an adult now, they all are. I am open to any advice regarding cat bathing.

How do i know that the shampoo's gone? i mean I'm planning to get a black cat so what if it's still on it's face and i will never notice?

You can touch the area gently and see and feel if there is any left. shampoo is cat safe so it’s okay if there is only a little left

Use warm water and not cold. Always work for me 😉

Please make a video on how to prevent the cat to go outside....also i wanted to know about their food...bcz most of the cats only eat meat,cat food.&milk...what else can we give them...and how to train them to eat healthy food...because cats become lazy by eating only meat..

My cat learned using her litter box just 1 day. Her first potty was in a rug then we wiped her poopy in a tissue and put it inside the litter box so that she can smell her poop in it.

Instead of a drop of shampoo to clean my cat's face with a warm cloth, I am trying a small amount of Douxo S3 CALM Soothing Itchy, Hydrated Skin Dog & Cat Mousse on a warm cloth: it does not require rinsing. However, it can only be used three times per week. The product was recommended by a veterinarian, and so far is working well on her face and back.
