Bulldogs are the most amazingly sweet and funny dogs, and they make the cutest of puppies. People who do not want a high maintenance breed, or cannot afford spending over $1k per year on their fur babies, should reconsider getting a bully. They are worth every single dime, but the owners must be prepared to accept extra responsibility to clean their wrinkles every day, keep them entertained and exercised, train them (and they are much more stubborn than most breeds) to learn their commands, clean up the shedding, and be able to pay to see the vet more often than most other breeds. I love Harry, and wouldnt trade him for the world. I went into being a bully momma with my eyes wide open, and still of course the 1st 2 years are very difficult. They test you like they are really your human teenagers, and you have to be firm (not angry) and show him who the real leader if the pack is. For anyone still thinking of getting a bully, please research your breeders. These dogs are often made by puppy mill breeders, and end up with a long list of health problems.
