    I'm soon buying my first Handgun here in Austria, and i decided for this Lovey Gun instead of a Glock ( even as Austrian..) after I had it in my Hand and tested the Trigger. So thanks for this Video, really liked this video.

    With the pdp you can actually just simply pull down on the slide lock tabs. No need to pull back on the slide at all! Overall a very thorough and well made video!

    What colors are we looking at here? Is the frame a shade of bronze or maybe tan? The slide looks to be the factory original without cerakote but it's hard to tell. Was this a special edition from Walther or did you have it cerakoted yourself? Thanks.

    What happens if you did get CLP inside the breach face area and striker area?? Is it catastrophic to the firearm??

  • @SkullCrushInc

    @SkullCrushInc

    Жыл бұрын

    Not right away. If it gets too much over time it could gunk up and slow down your striker. This could cause light primer strikes.

    After how many rounds should you do maintenance like this? These things are meant to run dirty right?

    I don’t leave my gun dirty. I clean after every use, regardless of round count. But yes it can run dirty within reason.

    So, I cleaned mine before I watched this video, and definitely got clp in both places that you said it to, what type of damage does that cause?

  • @SkullCrushInc

    @SkullCrushInc

    Oil in the striker channel can attract dirt and grime. This could eventually cause light primer strikes due to the striker not being able to move at full speed.

    Dissapointed to see that strange barrel wear on the underside where I assume the spring makes contact in some way. Never seen that on any other pistol but every PDP field strip/dissaembly vid shows that wear and some even show metal shavings. I think it might have something to do with the plastic guide rod flexing when the gun is fired but thats just a guess.

  • @TerminalM193

    Every striker fire pistol I own has wear on that spot. Out of all my glocks, CZs, s&w, the Walther pdp actually has the LEAST amount of wear in that spot when directly compared. All you're seeing is the corrosion resistant coating of the barrel being worn down, not the actual barrel itself. The barrel itself is made of hardened steel while the guide rod is made of a lesser OR softer metal that won't damage the barrel. You will honestly go through multiple guide rods before the integrity of the barrel is even up for questioning, meaning thousands upon thousands of rounds. As long as you keep your pistol well maintained and properly lubricated this will be a non-issue.

    I'd say no. ⬇️ I'd add to remove, clean the slide PDP optic plate. Depending on where or how you carry the 9mm PDP. It's easy but the screws are tiny. Be careful.
