How To Clean Garrison Portable Air Conditioner Coils

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Today I will teach you how to clean the inside of your portable air conditioner to make it cool down a room faster, use less electricity, last longer, and remove any musty smells it may have. I will take you step by step through the easy removal of the outer casing to give you access to the coils inside so you can clean them off. The manufacturers try to make it difficult but I make it easy. Save the planet by using less electricity and extending the life of your AC before it needs to visit a landfill.

Great video. Well explained. I do the the once a year with my portable AC. 18.000 btu. People need to know this kind of deep cleaning instead of buying a new AC. Thank you 😊

Yes agreed. Please spread the word to people you know that have portable ac units. Let’s keep these things from going to an unnecessary early grave. Even ones that no longer blow cold air can start working again from a good cleaning. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe

Thank you so much ! You’re a life saver! Or at least a sweat saver.. I don’t have the same unit but mine it started to make a lot of water and one of the coils was wet and yucky . I couldn’t clean it properly with my usual method so I removed the back panel like you did and dried brush it and it worked. Going to order some coils cleaner for a better clean. Do you happen to know if cat hair can accumulate in the strap or the fan or something ? I didn’t remove the front.

You’re welcome. Glad it helped. Cool cleaner is the best way to clean it properly. Cat hair is usually only accumulated on you screen on the back and your coils. It doesn’t usually go passed that to the fan. Your fan should be ok. Thanks for watching hope it goes well. And please like and subscribe

Stick a toothpick in the drain hole. Something is clogging it. Please refer to the video to see drain location.

Hi! Can it use the same chemical for coil cleaning as the wall mounted a/c? I worried it might destroy it.

$91 for a cleaning solution for a $300 air conditioner seems too high a price.

It’s concentrated. So water will be added. You use this once a year it should last 10 years or more. So that’s $10 a year what you divide it up. Not very expensive at all.
