Thank you, my mouse works again. Tip 1: before opening the little case, place a small piece of sticky tape onto the little case. This prevents the small white little plastic piece from flying away never to be found again. Tip 2: consider cleaning the metal sheet without extracting it. It seems it's not always necessary, or desirable, to extract it.

Thanks for the nice video and a 2nd lease of life for my mouse. The critical part is getting the copper plate back in its place. If anyone is having issue with that part just remember that both middle and front contact points have two steps and the plate needs to be on the first step in both of them. Just pop open the other side switch for reference and you will get it.
@Jaybon

I'm glad you managed to give your mouse its 2nd lease (the same is true for your future mouse)!
GOD BLESS YOU, SERIOUSLY, I WAS TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT FOR 4 HOURS AND IT FINNALY WORKED, THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Observations on Logitech Nano optical mouse: 1- at 2:30- The reference to removal of 'cap' seems to imply the small tabs can be pushed in to unlock the top. In my case the tabs are attached to the base and would not move. I used a straight pin to pry out the corresponding 'ears' of the top outward to unlock/remove the top. 2- A caution, the small foil is easily bent if cleaning is not done very carefully. 3- The small curved portion of the foil holds it in tension and is the main actuator for proper actuation of the button. If over done, you have a hard time getting it back to correct tension. 4- cleaning the contact points in the base with a steel screwdriver took the copper plating off the contacts AND damaged the small grooves that the copper foil sits in. Thanks for the video!
this definitely helped me. I bet if i brought the mouse to PC service store , they would tell me "it doesn't pays off to repair it, just buy a new one" or "we don't do that"... Thanks to this guy's tutorial, my left click works normally again.

yeah it doesnt pay off for them
Ended up pulling the switch out of the circuit board trying to lever the switch open. It also pulled the solder pad off, so there is no way I can solder it back on. Basically wrecked my mouse completely. Also damaged the catch on the switch so it doesn't close fully. Trying to repair a heavily used switch is kind of a waste of time, as the metal is already weakened, it will soon bend and produced weak/no clicks soon enough. Much more sensible is buying quality replacement mouse switches (most switches in computer mice today are cheap crap), unsolder, replace and solder with new switch, then you have a switch that will last almost forever.

Hello, Bishop! You may use a regular double-sided tape.
I've got a razer naga molten mouse, the thing is it does not double click but i am having troubling clicking it. it seems that it has become heavy and hard to click "softly" unless i apply more pressure for it to click. what can i do in that case? is it broken? or is there dirt? fixable? Dont want to throw it away, really love this mouse and helps me a lot in MMO games.
Is there a regular liquid/solution that you'd recommend to clean the carbon build up on the copper clickers?
Hi, did you put back the black thingy in the mouse? the one that left a yellow thing i dont know what its called but its in 2:00
Hello Bro, its me again. I had issues with the Rival 600 and you found a solution for me. I am not sure if you remember me though. I got a new mouse its a Glorious Model O and the Left click is feeling sticky, alot of people had this issue on youtube, reddit and so on. I was wondering if i do what you did on this video if it would fix. I researched but couldnt get any answers i was wondering if you could research more deeply for me and try to get a solution. Thank You! Have a good week
Thank you for great video with the manual for repair mouse button! I repeated everything from your video and my left click button become clear. There is no miss clicks anymore! I have Razer Deathadder, 3 years old, sc2 play. And don't forget to smile =)

Thank you a lot ! ! ! I was upset cuz my left click was messed and i couldn't holding the input click while was moving the mouse even though i was holding the button. A quirky 'miss click' issue. It took me a lot to put that copper tool and when i did, it didn't sound but works. When i proved the click, i was and i am fascinated, now my mouse ( at least my left click xD ) feels like a expensive one, the sensibility is high and i'm more comfortable with it. Thank you again :).

I need help with re installing the copper strip. I made the mistake of removing both of them at the same time and I can’t figure out which one are they supposed to go on. I tried many ways to install them but I can never get the click sound you mentioned and I can never seem to install them in a way that they are not loose. Are they all supposed to go in the same way in all mice? I have the razer deathadder chroma. Thanks in advance
I had problems when dragging windows, often dropped while moving my hand. I opened the micro-switch, cleaned a bit with alcohol and what this video shows and now works perfectly. Thanks.
Perfect video. My mouse right click button was working less than half the time I clicked it. About 2 out of 10 clicks would actually register. After cleaning that little copper spring and coupling everything back properly, it worked flawlessly like a charm. 10/10 video. Worked for my 6-button gaming mouse.

I have ordered some new omron switches, (I've never soldered, I plan to take the spring out) since one of them ripped. Again, Thanks for the tutorial. Hello, Lyle. You're a welcome. If you are using Razer, I'm pretty sure that it uses Omron switches that has a thicker and wider copper / Bronze spring piece. I learned about it when my I tried to replace the spring piece of my Razer Naga. I had several Razer products in the past and honestly speaking, based on experience, they easily breaks (Mouse and Keyboard compared to Thermaltake or Logitech. :(

Redragon m901 perdition 24000dpi mouse kept triple clicking, so I tried this. Ended up slicing my finger open with a knife trying to open the black click box, which was impossible to open. Somehow managed to get it open and spent 2 hours fiddling with the copper plate. Put it back in wrong, then put the box back together. Had to try opening it again and the small white piece got launched into the unknown. Spent another hour searching for it on a white carpet, but couldn't find it. Patience ran thin and ended up raging and smashing the mouse, knowing it was worthless without the white piece. Battery broke open and got in my cut, finger starts burning. Now I need a new mouse.
