I just bought 4 bottles of distilled white vinegar from Tesco,put shower head in container that allows complete coverage of vinegar leave for a couple of hours or till the vinegar stops fizzing,it is then done.29p a bottle,how much for a branded product.Don’t tip vinegar away pour it into empty kettle turn on and boil do not breathe in steam,as with shower head wait till it stops fizzing empty and rinse out kettle and re boil.There will be a strong smell of vinegar when you clean kettle this way though it soon goes

Brilliant idea. And environmentally friendly. And you get two jobs done for the price of one.

Is that an infrared heater I spot in your bathroom? I was considering doing the same as a means of stopping condensation but had never heard of anyone trying such a thing.

yeah it is, because other heaters aren't suitable it works well.
