    Great Vid guys I use a bit of sea salt to clean the skottle too Hey would be nice if it had adjustable legs. I also noticed yours has a wind guard on burner mune does not

    You should find better results if you just get it hot enough to where you can't touch it with your fingers then pour the water on. What you are doing is charring all of the seasoning and it will begin to flake away over time. Your method does not allow the oil to permeate the natural pores in the metal creating a great seasoning, it's just scalding everything making a less than optimal barrier. It also promotes foods sticking to the pan creating the same issue. If you develop a thick seasoning that is seasoned properly food will not stick and clean up is much easier. As a bonus you will burn a lot less fuel.

    helpful video… but the tembo skottle is steel, not cast iron.
