How To Clean an Ooni Pizza Oven | Deep Cleaning The Ooni Fyra

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Welcome back to Anderson's SmokeShow today I am going to show you how to clean your Ooni Fyra Pizza Oven. I have a few of my own personal techniques as well as those recommended by Ooni. Come check them out!
Here is a link to my Ooni oven: bit.ly/2Zr6ygM
Cleaning the Ooni Pizza Oven is super easy. Ooni simply recommends flipping over the stone and letting the heat of the oven do the work. As far as the outside of the Ooni pizza oven, they suggest just wiping it down and drying it off. Don't use any abrasive cleaners as it could harm the metal surfaces.
Now I took cleaning to a new level. I noticed a build up on the burn pot and wanted to ensure that it wouldn't result in restricted airflow so I scraped the remnants of the pellets off with a plastic putty knife. I also noticed a build up of black soot inside of the oven and I used 0000 steel wool to wipe it down... you can use a rag or some paper towel for this. Don't forget to clean the back side of the door too!
After cleaning the oven, Ooni recommends that you run the oven for 30 minutes to do a proper burn off.
I know that this is a very simple video, but many viewers have asked for a video on how to clean the Ooni Pizza Oven. If you have questions or request be sure to write them in the comments section below. I read and respond to essentially every comment. While you are there hit that subscribe button too!

Great video! The hopper comes apart into two pieces so you can clean the underside of the grate, helping to reduce buildup. Just turn it upside down and tap it against something, and it should come apart.

Just let it sit for 30min to an hour. We’ve been using it in the brewing world for a long time and it’ll keep your stainless in perfect condition. Rock on. 🤘

All good, but what speaks against not running the oven on high for 30 min with the flipped stone, but instead using the oven with the flipped stone next time, which is a lot more environmental friendly and saves on fuel, be it pellets or propane?

I don't do a separate burn just to clean the stone as I feel that it's wasting pellets. Simply flipping the stone each time you use the oven is all that is required. While your cooking pizza on the top surface, the intense heat is cleaning the bottom surface. Once the oven has cooled and ready to store, flip your stone and it's all ready for your next pizza night.

Yeah you just let the fire die on its own and let it cool before storing. With the size of the hopper it wont take too long for it to burn out itself.

Hello, I have an important question. I am concerned about what I just experienced after cooking with my recently bought Ooni Fyra. I used Traeger pellets since the ooni brand on Amazon was way too expensive. I cooked wonderful Neapolitan style pizzas, but when my oven cooled down I was alarmed after I found so much black smoke residue attached to the inside of the oven ceiling and chimney and even on the detachable door. Is that normal to find after cooking pizza for almostan hour? I am worry for my health and my family well being. Thank you in advance and thank you for your videos. PS. I live in Venezuela. I won't be easy for me to be returning any product I bought through Amazon.
