A throttle is the mechanism by which fluid flow is managed by constriction or obstruction.
An engine's power can be increased or decreased by the restriction of inlet gases (i.e., by the use of a throttle), but usually decreased. The term throttle has come to refer, informally and incorrectly, to any mechanism by which the power or speed of an engine is regulated. What is often termed a throttle (in an aviation context) is more correctly called a thrust lever, particularly for jet engine powered aircraft. For a steam engine, the steam valve that sets the engine speed/power is often known as a regulator.

Personally i would, completely remove the Air induction hose and use Throttle body cleaner and also use a cloth, Open the butterfly and clean deep inside the housing then re attach the hose , You have also used a Top end cleaner for carbon build up , two different operations But a worthwhile maintenance feature that hardly anyone does , Please no music or change it Thanks
Was having hunting and cutting out issues with my 2003 v70 2.4 petrol auto. Followed the tutorial and no more problems. Great video. More please for any more maintenance things

Hello thks for the tipI have a question I have a volvo 960 2.9l 204cv and i have a serious provlem with my idle at cold start I suspect my throttle and duribg my check and before unmount it i noticed rhat this little yellow hose starting from the throttle go down under the manifold but it is linked nowhere ...???!!! Is that normal and can be the 1rst issue ?

+DAVINDRA MAHADOO if u have engine problems in idle, it could be because of sucking Strange air. The yellow hose could be the problem root, but it could be an airing hose, too. Iam not sure, sorry.
I haven't been able to watch the video... the music is so loud! It's physically hurting my head. I'm trying to listen what he's saying but can barely hear it. Up the volume and my head is throbbing... Could anyone make a text transcript please?
Is cleaning the throttle a nessary? I'm having engine power lag. Is this a possible remedy?..

Could just remove the intake and COMFORTABLY clean everything up.

This is too wrong must remove the whole throttle and clean it after that clean again with some fabric then blow stong air from both sides until dry and clean then install it again
