I love how your cat jumped up to watch ❤ ... Thanks for making this. I definitely feel like a dummy. Long story short, my little girl found a fish on the sidewalk and saved it by putting it into her Tic Tac container! (We can only assume a bird dropped it as if flew over our neighborhood!) We set up a tank, went to several pet stores, and eventually talked to a local expert. Jackson the fish was initially believed to be a Tilapia fry, but now we are thinking he's a type of Sunfish. Whatever he is, he's 3 times as large now (if not more) 3 months later!! Here's the BIG dummy aspect- I have never, not once, changed or added water! I have a lot of reasons why I have been delayed, personal, family, and health related. Anyhow, there is no gravel to clean, only 1 plant that is artificial- a gift for my daughter since she saved his life- from the sweet lady who initially helped us figure out what to do....I am scared to mess with him or the tank. (It's 20 gallon and it's fresh water) I don't want to shock him by doing a complete water change since nothing has been done in his whole life (with us) and I am sure he was traumatized from his start in life. Can you give me advice for my unique situation?
