How to Clean a Cubic Mini Wood Burning Stove

This is a short instructional video on the different steps involved in cleaning my Cubic Mini Grizzly.
Living in a converted school bus / skoolie during the winter usually requires a bit of extra heat that can be provided by a wood burning stove. The Cubic Mini stovess are increasing in popularity among skoolies, tiny homes, boats and even converted vans. It is important to clean and maintain your wood burning stove once a week to prevent any fire hazards.
The stove is a great option for anyone living in a converted school bus, converted van, or tiny house. It can generate enough heat for a small space in a matter of 10 - 15 minutes.
Do you have a Cubic Mini or a different type of wood burning stove in your converted bus, van, or tiny home. Drop a comment and let us know what you think.

Very helpful thank you. I have the grizzly and am deciding on a pipe system. Did you go with the cubic pipe system?

How often do you clean your stove pipe? I find the cubic grizzly to be a nightmare of creosote. I have followed manufacture’s recommendation for pipes and cleaning. It just builds horrible creosote so fast. I don’t recommend this stove personally.

We clean the pipe about once a month. We also have an electric heater, so the stove isn't burning all day everyday which helps. I like the stove for the 'cozy' feeling, and it increases the inside temperature drastically. But there are for sure inconveniences if it is your only source of heat.
