2yr old video still getting comments 👍 awesome. I also run a larger brush down the post holes in the keg before putting the tubes back in. Most of the time there's nothing there because, like you, I clean everything right away. But it doesn't hurt to run a brush through, and it takes like 2 seconds, so it's a no brainer. On brew days I clean as I go so there's less to do when I'm done brewing. I'm liking the channel so far. (I'm new here) Cheers!

Thanks for this video! All this time, I had assumed that just soaking Star San in my kegs would be enough to clean them. I would run some Co2 into the keg and pump out water, thinking that the Star San would sanitize everything. I disassembled one of my kegs and took out the dip tube and ran a brush through it. Wow, was it filthy! Now, I'm going to clean every one of my kegs thoroughly to ensure that they're 100% sterile when I pump in my homebrew.

Great Vid. I’ve been kegging beer for a few months and never heard of a few of the tips you had. You guys are great. Good luck with the quarantine!

Gracias CH for another dope HB4L installment. I go (OCD) one step further and clean out the PRV because maybe the Mormon Utah water but my PRV's get stuck open, usually when I'm already low on gas. Good point on cleaning the dip tubes - I need to do that more often. I want that little pick tool you have. Covid blows. Enough of my ramblings... Thanks for the shout out. Cheers - George

I was given a corny keg along with all my brewing equipment from my brother in-law, so thanks for this. I won't miss all the "nooks and crannies" of that keg now. Another great piece from this, is he gave me PBW and I was wondering if there was a more cost effective alternative, and just over a minute there it was. Thanks! Glad I found your video CH, I remembered that you made this, and I needed to be sure it was OxiClean. I started using it and swapped StarSan for PAA since is also WAAAAAAY cheaper and works like a charm.

Great video, exactly what I needed after buying some dirty kegs on Craigslist!

Great video. Very helpful for a new home brewer like myself. Oh and Bro I watched to the very end. Ill have to look at the shirts for sure.

I found a gun barrel cleaning rope (small gauge rope with two brass weighted ends) perfect for cleaning dip tubes. Cost £1 from military surplus, even chucked in some cloth. Will last forever👍🏻

HOMEBREW 4 LIFE update: snagged some off offerup. I am doing the switch from bottles to keg #thankyoustimuluscheck. I got 2 of them and the insides looks pretty sticky on the walls. Would you recommend scrubbing it with a sponge with warm water and PBW ? Or should I use my carboy brush?

Video Format Opinion: Hi brother. I'm a professional brewer at Big Boss Brewing in Raleigh, NC and also an amateur gaming KZreadr (shameless channel plug). Wanted to share my 2 cents about the new format since you asked. My personal opinion, I'm into it. This was far more informative than other videos and even though you still cracked jokes and had fun with it, it seemed far more professional. Although I enjoyed watching previous episodes, I thought the format was a little too "old school Epic Meal Time" if you catch my meaning. I think the newer format is a better balance for people that want to seriously learn while still being entertained. Thanks for all you do! Looking forward to the next episode!

I wish I saw this a couple months ago. Seems like I got it right tho. If you flatten the loop on the brush, you can twist a length of wire to it and pull the brush all the way thru. No worry about crud in the middle.

Always buy used!

So Oxyclean does work good but if you add some TSP/90 cleaner in there too it works like 2 times better(only need about 30% ration of TSP to oxyclean). It does a much better job at breaking down oils which Oxiclean can have an issue with. Its the two main ingedients in PBW. Great video all around.

3 keggle brew system in the background? Let's see some of that. I like any format you got. Dont stress the production so much. We are here for the knowledge and entertainment first. Love the videos. Keep em coming.

Bro Loved your vid, learned alot from this video! Do you ever remove the top and bottom cover? I scored a couple of kegs and the top/bottom covers is vomit bacteria city. Previous owner left gaps in the glue and bacteria built up in between the spaces, is a hell of a job to get the crap out :( Any tips for SERIOUSLY dirty kegs (inside)

Either gasket or tighten the hose clamp on the line

Heads up that the brushes in the link are actually only 8 inches long now. But it's get you to Amazon and you will see 10 - 12" brushes for just a few dollars more.

I ordered the spike wrench from the link and it’s actually for a beer tower and faucet , which doesn’t fit the fitting for the ball lock. You’ll need a 12-point 7/8" wrench socket
