1. The way you chopped it is reminiscent of DJ Premier's style. Kanye doesn't use as many pauses between each sample chop. Usually there's litte to no blank spaces. 2. Using a section without vocals for the verses is also not Kanye-like. That's sort of the biggest part of his style. He loves rapping over vocals. Although the beat is cool and all the points you made are generally good and useful for other sampled beat styles.
