How to Choose Tile for Your Space
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Choosing the right tile for your space depends on a number of factors, including style, and even more importantly, how you intend to use the space. You will need to consider the functionality of the tile in addition to the style.
For example, large format tiles make an area feel roomier, and they have fewer grout lines for easier maintenance. Meanwhile, small tiles will look busier and they will also have more grout lines, which creates more traction in high-moisture areas.
In this video, you will learn how to find tile with the ideal size, finish, and texture to perfectly complement the rest of your room.

Thanks for the wonderful information
Great information!
Awesome video 👍
Thanks so informative... 💗
Regarding wet locations - You will want make sure your tile selection has a DCOF (dynamic coefficient of friction) that is AT LEAST 42. All tiles are tested for their slip resistance and given a DCOF rating, which is a minimum of 42 in wet locations. This is the industry standard that is enforced by ADA. You might be able to get away with ignoring this in your own residence (because light remodels are often under the radar, not always requiring city permits or receiving inspections). However, for your own safety, as well as future occupants, I would not recommend ignoring this.
No mention of how to pick tiles or color for a kitchen or dining area
Hi I recently purchased a beige grey white wood effect tile, long tile. My tiler wants to lay it without grout joints. But have been told by supplier that'sa no no. So I'm gonna go ahead with a 2mm grout joint. Is that OK, my previous square tiles were 5mm.
Hi! Love all your videos. Thank you for sharing all your wisdom. Quick question on grout: Does grout show thicker/wider on porcelain as opposed to marble? Or can both grout lines look equally as thin (for anesthetics and easy cleaning)? A designer told me that porcelain will need to have thicker grout lines than marble.

Nice video, but it would be better without the background music. (just my opinion)
My bathroom is smaller in size but I installed large tiles, now I regret it.

Background voices were distracting
