I love your content please continue to do more Pre-PA! Are there any schools (online or in-person) you recommend to take post-baccalaureate prerequisite courses in for PA schools?

Oh thank you!! You can take courses anywhere- as long as it transfers over to a university level! I think statistics, economics, and psychology are really interesting topics to take to help you as a PA student!

Hey Sami! I'm a teacher looking to get into PA school. How will teaching affect my chances of getting in? I graduated from UT Austin in May 2023 with a bachelor's in Sociology and a minor in Healthcare Professions. I have the prerequisites for PA programs including 1 year of experience as a clinical/medical assistant and 3 years volunteering for patient care. I applied to work as a Medical Assistant for clinics however almost all of them didn't have opportunities. I started working for KIPP Texas as an Interventionist where I assist teachers with their students by providing extra tutoring time in class and after class. I applied to six PA schools for the 23-24 cycle but got rejected from four and have not heard back from two. I plan to reapply again this next cycle. How can my current experience help me get into PA school? How does teaching affect my chances of getting in? How can I turn my current experience into an experience PA programs would consider unique?

I accepted Western health in California, it was fully accredited when I accepted. A month before the start of the program we were notified that they got placed on probation and are not allowed to matriculate students. A new lesson my class learned from this is to accept two schools and drop one before the start of a program which is a consequence of the ARC-PA's rouge decision ... Western's program never had an issue in the past 30 years, so it's sad that the accreditation body did this.
