Are you looking for a better way to store and serve your homebrewed beer? Do you want to save money, space and time while enjoying fresh and tasty beverages? If so, you might be interested in comparing the PET King Kegs with the traditional stainless corny kegs.
PET King Kegs are a new and innovative product from Keg King, Australia’s leading supplier of homebrew and commercial kegs. They are made of high-quality PET plastic that is light, durable and recyclable. They have a capacity of 20 litres, which is slightly more than the standard 19 litres of corny kegs. They also have integrated handles for easy transport and ball lock posts for easy connection with your dispensing system.
Stainless corny kegs are the classic choice for many homebrewers. They are made of 304 stainless steel that is strong, sanitary and corrosion-resistant. They have a large central opening for filling and cleaning, and two ports for pressurizing and dispensing. They also have rubber handles and base for protection and stability.
But which one is better for you? In this video, we will compare the PET King Kegs with the stainless corny kegs in terms of:
• Price
• Weight
• Size
• Durability
• Maintenance

Any reason you can't make them the same size as the Corny kegs? It's the only reason I haven't jumped on them as I want to be able to fit 4 in my Kegerator..

Molding restriction. We couldn't compromise on quality and safety so we stuck with a process that we know and trust.

They are fantastic! Easy to clean with the KK corny keg washer. And you can get your hand in the top ( if small). As for the size I find them fine (two twenties fit or two tens fit in my kegerator) & really light! And easy to use! Finally I gave up on high pressure and rock & roll years ago! Causes more problems than it’s worth! I either naturally carbonate or ferment under pressure, then transfer then put on gas and leave it for a few days. Cheers

So they are made of weaker material, can’t handle the high pressure, wider so you can’t store as many, but they are 1/2 the price and handle 1 liter of fluid more. I’m in!!

Can you use a king keg to bulk prime?

Absolutely. Here's how: 1. Clean and sanitise your keg 2. push the sanitiser out with CO2 3. Insert the priming solution through the liquid diptube using a vessel with carbonation cap and pressure or just another keg: www.kegking.com.au/carbonation-cap-line-cleaning-cap-counter-pressure-filler.html 4. Transfer your flat beer to the keg. 5. Wait for the carbonation to build at room temp 6. Get the keg cold. 7. Serve when you balance the headspace pressure to the serving temp. Drawbacks: You're going to have sediment at the base of the keg. You'll only be able to draw some of the beer off the natural pressure before you have to hook up to a gas supply

Two years of use under pressure from the stamp date is what is recommended.
