I have a 4 x 4 in a limited space that I can only access two sides of the tent - pruning was a nightmare so I set up a turntable from an 8 x 4 sheet of ply cut it half - with a Lazy Suzanne bearing and low profile casters between the two halfs - so I grow 4 large plants per cycle which I can rotate to trim them - working well but I do need a light upgrade...!

Excellent and informative as always keep it up have helped us novices understand the noice of lights!!! It is very appreciated 💚✌️

I'm finishing up my first run but it's taking 5 months so far and I have a few weeks to go. In a 4x4 room with a 415watt led light is it worth it to grow 6 auto flowers to get smoke a little quicker or is is it really worth it to go photo period and be patient ?

@@abbasahmed7280 grow tent. 1,2m x 1,2m x 2m. no cooler just 4 inch intake 6 inch out. 12inch fan on floor 3 6 inch clip on fans, 2 on canopy 1 on light. light driver out of tent. my girls were outdoors now in the tent indoors. 3 weeks into flower

hi, for 35 sq ft you need about 35 x 30 = 1,050 watts. It looks like you have about 1300 watts so you should be at about 1,100 µmols average which is a high level.

I would love to see how you would set up a basic 4x4 grow room / tent, light, temp, humidity, ventilation, and how much par and when to start bumping it up, basically how to use the equipment with out overkill. if I have a 4x4 tent is it better to get say 2 x mars hydro fc3000- evo or 1 x Fc4800-evo ? seems both will fit. does having two smaller 300w actually give you the effect of 600w in? or does one big at 480w better ?

I really wish I had found migro before I bought my lights. I’ll guess I’ll just need to get another tent

Shane, have you done any tests on any of these new LED set ups from the old hps manufacturers like maxibright and lumii that use the HID ballast??

what hight do you recommend for Led 1000w bestAV 2023 full spectrum? My first 2 autos were stunted, and had burn, didn't recover in time so didn't get much from them

Ive just gone from 2 lights of 500 watts in my 5x5 to one EVO 8 (730watts) from AC Infinity & wow , its super efficient & the same wattage im getting loads more light & coverage ..so yeah look fwd to you reviewing the EVO Ionframe lights with the new EVO diods & see what you make of it & its new spectrum it has.. looks a lot warmer 😎

The light is quality and I like my evo 6 but honestly my fce4800 produces better and more. Not to mention it runs cooler under full power.

Looking for recommendations for 4'x6' trays. I'm looking to get away from HID. Right now running 2000w over each 4'x6' table with 4' tall plants. What LED's would you recommend to get comparable intensity and penetration ?

There is no evidence to justify using UVA and IR vs just adding more PAR light for more yield.

Since HPS is getting increasingly hard to come by Sooner or later I will have to switch up so Its good to know where the industry is at. It is going to be a sad day when I have to put a bullet in my ballast and say farewell though. It has given me good, reliable 1g per watt results for many years all now hassle free. Asking too much of your grow space is also something a newer grower does. Sure you can get 2G per watt, but do you want it? If you pack your space too tight, even with circulation you can run into mold and bud rot then you lose the whole crop. Unless you are prepared to start filling your space with ac and CO2 tanks and dehumidifiers. I don't even have AC in my house. My pot plant ain't getting Air conditioning before I do. 😂

Because plants benefit from more than just red light....

I'd love to see a video covering what light to use for keeping a mother plant. I am currently thinking of getting a Migro Aray 2 for the job in a 2x2 tent, but i am unsure if that's a smart thing to do since it would be dimmed constantly :D

If it'll only ever be your clone/seedling/veg light you don't need as much intensity and can use lower wattage than something that would be used for the full cycle

I can't tell you how happy i am with my Viparspectra KS 3000 in my 1m x 1m tent. I got it a few weeks ago. I could not resist bc now you get a better driver with it compared to last year. The spread is outstanding. It actually pushes 325 Watts in real and you can connect external controller like the AC Infinity 69 controller. I coudnt wait for your new light Shane. l would have had to go with the 4x4 model anyway for my 1m x1m tent and run it a bit lower in wattage. And the different cost was another point to look at. Im sure your 4x4 model would have been awesome in my 1m x 1m tent...but the KS 3000 was like almost 200€ less than your 4x4 model. And another reason was i could not wait any longer...😜 But im still running two of your old COBs for veg and cloning...still working after more than 5 years...but they don't have to run that hard anymore. 😉 I actually know that one of your new lights would have been a blast for me...keep it up Shane. Im a big fan of your channel for over 5 years now. 👍👍👍

​@@manilove2pwn at Migro it is 519 Euros. On e.😁 b.😁 a. 😁y i get the KS 3000 for 385 Euros...bc im a good customer i got another 10%. That was a great deal for me. But i would not run the KS 3000 in a 4x4...then i would go for the KS 5000 (595 Euros) or the new Migro 4x4 model. 👍

Gets about 1100-1200 par in middle about 12inches away and about 700 in corners pretty consistent across the board tested with an apogee par sensor not ton of heat got driver outside my tent 5x5

Great info here. However the Migro Aray 5x5 light on the website is priced at $677.00 and if you change to euros it is even more €736,82. Is this correct ? It says $649 in the list here.

Those vegetables growing in the background are going to be the nicest tasting in Ireland you can get once they are done hahaha!

What light do you use to give you that effect 😉

do you have a video along the line if UV & IR on light that are either fixed, fixed but own switches and add on supplemental (like spiderfarmer has) as well as timing for those with there own control, assuming they shouldn't be on all the time.

Imo, the UV diodes are pointless, I would veg without the far red and then turn it on for flower

In a 3x3 tent my best in organic soil are: 315W CMH - 1.76 grams per watt. 300W LED - 1.35 grams per watt. And these are autoflower grows.

Love your videos, very informative about growing using variety of LED’s. Do you have a thought on the quality of the plants, buds, when growing 9 plants in a 4x4 tent compared to only growing 4 plants, in a 4x4? Do you loose quality of buds when you grow small plants vs larger more mature plants? Do smaller plants produce the same exact same THC levels , and terpenes, regardless of plant size??? Thanks

@@MIGROLIGHT So excuse my ignorance here!, So the plants DNA let’s say, is going to produce the same THC levels, in the buds, regardless of plants size, before flipping to a normal flowering time. So are you saying the only difference is Quantity, when growing smaller vs bigger vegged plants.

Some of the nicest looking, ready to harvest plant pics I've seen, were in a seed bank review, with posts on several varieties. This guy was always growing over 20 plants, from seed, using Coco coir in half gallon, plastic bag type pots, with Blue Planet Nutrients Farmers Pride Organic blend and their supplements. All in a 3x3 tent using an HLG 240W Quantum Board for lighting. Nice, big, trichome packed colas, held still with a hand in a purple nylon glove, while the other hand takes the pics. Probably the nicest looking plants/colas I've seen! I think the half gallon containers keep the plant branches from growing out horizontally, as much as a larger container would encourage..?! I never would have believed it, unless seeing it myself. Over 20 seedlings to harvest, in a 3x3 tent. I've seen pics from 3-4 different runs, and really nice, fat, sparkling, colas! Obviously, some serious experience. And, love for the girls!

I know the question was not aimed at me, but those things are genetics and environment, rather than plant count. Plant count and more so root mass to biomass ratio has more effect on yield.

You should expect about 60 to 70 grams per square foot in a 4x4 with 600 watts 4 plants in a scrog in 5 gallon coco pots with masterblend nutrients..

Good guide but everything is relative in growing. I've seen people pulling off 500+ grams from 1 autoflower. You can definitely fill up 3x3 with 1 auto. The key strategy is genetics, hydro and a lot of light.

So this list of light that was compared was for a 5x5 area. I'm wondering where would the Aray 12 be in this list ? Because it is slightly pricier that Aray 5x5 but the efficiency is the same.

The difference with the ARAY 12 is it's modular, slightly more expensive as each four bar light has it own controller.

The sun is the best growlight, so if you can, place your plants outside! I use a TS-1000 to supplement my big autoflower in the evening!

No, it's not because you have limited amount of light per day compared to indoor. You can't have 18 hours of perfect clear sky sun every day at least in most places on Earth. And even if so you'd have problems with too high temps.

2.7 is sphere tested, 2.4 is actual efficiency at canopy level, most companies won't tell you this figure.

You’re right about the grams per watt I know people who are getting 1.7 and I’m super impressed since I’m only doing like 1.2 then I find out they are using dehumidifiers , 1 ton air conditioners , heaters and flowering for 11 weeks . I’m just using a 300 watt extraction fan and flowering for 8 weeks. Everyone is fudging the numbers , even the way they clean and dry , heaps of stem and still damp . I fully agree anyone saying they are pulling over 1.5 are actually pulling their Cocks.

Genetics and growing style is the most important when talking gpw imo. High yielding genetics with full scrog and LEDs with best uniformity = BAR DESIGN. Everything else is outdated. I'm still shocked they are making board type lights, not only that, most of them are rectangular. Good idea... when 99% of grow tents are square shaped...

Sounds like you've never grown in a big bed of soil. Not to be disrespectful, but I would setup a 4x4 bed and it'll change your mind.

You sabatoged the dirt grow by NOT giving them newts. Do you not fertilize in a garden? We always fertilize. Do it again with rust brandons dirt recipe. Bokashi earthworks has amino acid ferts.

LEDs are useless if it's not summer. You have to heat your room or it's to cold. Cmh even need heat in winter. Hps is needed so you don't need heaters in winter.

👍👍☝️Mostly led grow lights without app have to big blue in spectrum and not enough darkgreen, yello, orange and red for flower, veg. and bloom switch-knob is better, so big blue in bloom makes longer bloom-days 1,5week and its not good for money!!! Your new 500w canapa partner bar light is nice, but i wish you have this 500w light as a half 250w 2-bar grow light with seperatly long cable on the dimmer-box to fix it seperatly outside, like the nice even ppfd, good luck!!! Germany will legalise cannabis in the next month - 1 jear, so i hope the goverment works and i can buy a good small grow light, hope you having this 250w 2-bar light to this time, i think your array have not a perfectly ppfd, little to big blue and to less bloom spectrum, but 120degree is not efficiency, the pure sun is coming directly, so with optics 80 degree on the middle, and lower degrees on the end of the light its better for a perfect ppft= is when all plots having the same number of 940-1100 ppfd!! greetings from 🇩🇪 wrongdog
