I get my coat testing from UC Davis as well & Em/e is on both my females which means it has a black mask & carries 1 copy of red/yellow/cream. Em/E would mean it has Black Mask & carries 1 copy of black.

These videos are great! I've had two brindles and may be getting a new pup soon. The mom is what the breeder calls a honey pied. Her spots are not tan, but lighter in color, almost cream. What would you guess her color genetics are...I haven't heard you talk about the dilution gene (Ii), is this what is at play with a honey pied? The stud is a dark dark dark brindle. Super excited to see what kind of puppies come out! Thanks in advance

The dog can’t be fawn and have 2 copy’s of tan points.

I bred mine to a TriChocolate Merle & got 6 puppies of different colors,a blue pied,a lilac fawn,a fawn merle,a beautiful Tricolor Chocolate Merle with both white eyes.

I want that top gene for a female... my platinum male (same as described second down.. including two copies of co/co and one copy of F/f) .

All fawns, some blue fawns, some chocolate fawns and maybe some lilac fawns. (I'm presuming your girl is ay ay) All will carry cream and some may carry testable chocolate.

Where can you get the dna done to find out what the dog carries?

Breed to a platinum All the pups will be cream that carry chocolate and bkue. Those pups breed back to another platinum will produce 1/4 Platinum

This is an issue with extreme pieds Those are pods that have whiteheads they may have poor or no hearing

My Frenchie had 8 puppies, and three of them had cleft palate, we have to euthanize two. I kept one because it is one of the biggest puppy in the litter and still have a good suction after birth.

My cream merle that has fawn has light merle spots on his back animal genetics described him as diluted fawn merle but I’ve never seen another cream showing merle

I've been looking through his videos it's not that he doesn't like them, it's that they are too common in the breed. The brindle coat color in French Bulldogs isn't as profitable when you get on his level of breeding.

@@michaelmartinez9151 why settle for less if you know what you're doing? He clearly made it make sense. Have you seen his dogs? Not many would pay 6k-15k for a common brindle coat.

Absolutely nothing is wrong with brindle dogs. The reason he doesn't like them is because the brindle gene is a dominant black variant. When you get into breeding colors it limits the expression of some of the genes. What people need to keep in mind when it comes to nonstandard colors is that you cannot show these dogs in the show ring. Brindles, Fawns, Creams and Pieds are the only colors allowed
