Wonderful to see a non biased wheel overview. No dissing the competition, as a spinner there are nearly as many wheels as there are days of the year. It is hard to pick a wheel when you cant buy or try them all. Its a shame spinning shops arent more plentiful so you could at least drive only say an hour to try a bunch if wheels and the same the next week and within a month have tried most of the commercial wheels and decide which one you prefer. Sadly only one shop out of 5 i wrote to ask about their wheels even had the decency to respond! Clearly they dont want the business. I wish you guys were near by, id love to come see all those wheels

I would also add that while there are guys that prefer double treadle, many men prefer single treadle wheels so that we don't have to spin with our knees together.

OR ... You could buy a Lendrum wheel, which comes with either single or double treadle, folds for easy travel in its padded case, adjustable tension, three whorls and has available not only regular bobbins, but can easily switch out for a fine flier head or a plying head - all on the same wheel. Or don't you sell Lend runs anymore? All in all, a good, helpful video. I just sort of felt you left out one of the most versatile wheels out there.

How do the different parts impact the fiber one will spin. My primary fiber is cotton. I currently spin on a drop spindle and really love the control I have, but want to be able to do more at a time. Is there a type that is best for a short fiber where a lot of control is needed. I want to be able to spin much more at a time. That leads me to my next question, I am currently set up to spin handmade Punnies. With a hand carded. If I get a wheel, would I be better off getting a 120 point drum carder so I can create slivers? Slivers do seem to have more versatility than punnies when it comes to even spinning.

Can you do a video recommending a wheel based on the yard one wants to produce? I am not so interested in the look of a wheel as I am it's practical use. For example, I want a wheel that I can do both bulky and fine yarns, I want it to be scotch tension and double treadles. I am thinking a good flow chart would be 1. what kind of yarns do you want to spin? 2. What tension would you like? 3. Double/single treadle? 4. What types of spinner heads can I get? (Large for art yarns, or big projects. Or smaller for fine yarns?)

I’m disabled too, so my boyfriend got me an Electric Eel Wheel to start out with even though I can treadle a bit and still want to get a manual wheel later. The EEW works really well and is much cheaper than others but still well crafted. This used a lot of lingo that as a person interested in getting a wheel to learn on, I do not understand. It’s like I need a video to explain what he said in this video.

It's worse than pulling teeth to try and find a video that --- "specially" --- addresses the function of the "foot pedal" and how it functions in making the wheel spin. If anyone out there in Comment Land can chime in on this, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm doing some research and.......well, again, I'd appreciate it. Thank you!
