What model and year are your engine? Are you running the 4l60e?

Hello. I have issues with my car stalling in reverse and drive. I have a 90 silverado and I used my existing brake switch. I have the purple wire coming from the TCM I believe. It says that wire need to go to 12v when brakes are applied. Am I suppose to reword in this brake switch instead?

The stalling could be a few different things. Even if the TCC switch is wired wrong or not wired at all; it wouldn’t cause the engine to stall. You are correct, the purple wired goes from the TCC switch to the PCM; then the red wire goes from the switch to a keyed on power source (fused) the brake switch should be the same; it should have four or five (if equipped with power steering) coming off the switch. Did you swap a newer engine out onto your Silverado?
