How to Chase a CSX Heritage Unit: CSX 3194 Honoring Our Law Enforcement - Train VLOG!
Join us as we chase CSX train Q197 for 50+ miles with CSX's newest special interest heritage unit leading! We saw the train 5 times between Social Circle and Atlanta, Georgia. TrainVlogs are in-depth video log (vlog) style films made for the purpose of documenting and explaining railroad safety, operations, history, and the hobby of train chasing!
With help from our friend John Whitley, Tom and I drove from Atlanta to Social Circle on a rainy Tuesday afternoon to find Q197-07 with CSX 3194 leading. Q197 was over 15,000 feet in length, making this the longest train I have ever seen! It was great to see old friends and meet new ones throughout the course of the chase. The highlight of the chase was seeing the Conyers Police Department park one of their police vehicles near the tracks for a unique photo opportunity! Corporal Stringer of the Conyers PD captured a selfie with the train that I included in the video, and you can view the original Facebook post here: / 5713947028677276

Thank you Joel! It was a struggle to catch up after Conyers, and we wouldn't have made it if the train hadn't gone into emergency!I'm glad you liked the shots in Conyers. Those were my favorites too :)

No problem! And yeah when I saw you filmed the whole train at Conyers I knew you’d have trouble catching up to it because he was 15K feet.

Yep, we knew it too. Tom and I almost called off the chase right there, but since the shot at Social Circle didn't turn out too well, we wanted another shot lol. This train was a beast... it's the longest train I've ever recorded!
Great Video, and I love the style. Keep it up!
