isn't it supposed to be the wires touching the metal piece on the battery where it charges cuz if it's touching in between the two metal things that's plastic and it doesn't produce any electrical current I would think not too sure on that but I don't think plastic is a conductor just just my opinion I'm not sure

After a few frustrated attempts to keep the copper in place between the thingies it actually worked. Must monitor to prevent overheating and continue charging for the true percentage. Thank you so much. I was at my wits end with my phone.

just a tip, the battery will not over heat.. the voltage is the same on the power supply and the battery, leave it charging all night..!

If u have a non removable (sealed) battery then, after opening the back find the two wires (red and black/blue) connecting the battery and the charging port. Remove those two wires from the charging port and connect them to the same colour wires of the cable after exposing the wires from the cable as shown in the video. And boom! (Worked for me)

This particular way of charging ur phone w/out a charging port works very well if ur phone is the type that u can remove the battery. But if u have a sealed phone, u can't remove the back of ur phone, and u cannot remove the battery. The battery is sealed

The Lithium-Ion battery's fully charged voltage is either 4.2v or 4.4v. USB's put out between 5v and 5.2v. Overcharging a Lithium-Ion battery can cause it to explode, and/or go up in flames.

Been using mine as a wifi extender like this for the last year and a half with a direct connection with zero problems. I've since removed the battery and jumped the open circuit the battery completes when installed and its been running continuously in that state for and additional six months 24/7. While I do concede there is an inherent danger when doing this however it is negligible for my own piece of mind and after battery removed is almost all danger is gone. I could be wrong but I have gotten an additional 2+ year out of the device in this manner so when it does go nuclear I'll be ok with it..

It did work!......like seriously.......my battery went from 47% to 100%....not lying.

Actually it works, but keep an eye out on the battery voltage, because 5V is more that the 4,2-4,4V those batteries get fully charged to. Also keep an eye on the current - current higher than battery capacity is very harmful for the battery. But this charging method is ONLY FOR EMERGENCIES, CUZ IT DAMAGES THE BATTERY. Maybe if you made a small charging dock that charges the battery using TP4056, you could get around, but no plugging in and using!

Will this method work for my Samsung sch r340 because I don't have its proprietary charger

it's not that powerful, it's 5 volts, even a car battery just does sparkle noises or maybe some glowing, but 5v is literally nothing

@@mitsostechtips9047 funny story no matter the volt it still can do damage 5volts still has electricity and can short devices if not properly connected right it if you put wires backwards you will overload the connection causing a single way circuit to reverse the connection causing a overload which leads to damage or fire

Please, I have a charge doctor device, which measures amps and voltage when connected between the charger unit and usb cable. My phone charge port was wearing out after 4 years of use of my smartphone using micro usb connector and I was stuck with an unchargeable, thanks to you not now. Can I connect the usb leads red and black to the positive and negative, directly to the battery without the phone, for a few hours and what should I look out for, maybe a hot battery after a bit of time say?
