I am a total duffus when it comes to cable and solar but one way I remember series is to remember the word "switch"= pos to neg. Then "parallel"= pos to pos. I really really appreciate your explanations of all things power stations and solar. More of these really close up and watching you explain things and doing them is a big big help to us newbies. Thank you sir

95% of all the folding panels come with a controller which I can't use with my Titan generator. Your video and explanation (only one on youtube to address this specific topic) will allow me to purchase the panels I actually want vs the few I could find without controllers. Thank$$$$ I've found your videos to be very informative. Great service to all.

This is the best explanation of series and parallel, the different types of connectors, and how to connect the solar panels to the Bluetti and the Jackery, that I have ever heard. I could hear your explanation, see you physically demonstrating as you explained, and see the diagrams you inset at the ideal times. I don't think it could get any better than this for people who don't know much about this stuff but are willing to try. Your assurance that we are unlikely to fry anything while trying, gives the hesitant person the push that's needed. Everyone will be ok as long as they're not standing barefoot in a puddle during a thunderstorm and pinching bare wire with bare fingers. And if they are, well, perhaps nature has selected them for extinction. Thank you very much.

Thank you! That's the best breakdown ever! I'm trying to keep a Goal Zero power station alive after the AGM battery got damaged. The cable was out of sight and the station didn't get its charging fix within 3 months... Now I got hold of the cable, I am trying to upgrade it to solar charging as well, and lo and behold, in the process, this vid teaches me I could have saved that AGM battery by simply using my IBM-Lenovo laptop's charging cable all along. LMAO Note I'm not in the West. (... Thus don't have easy access to proprietary cables, etc) All worth it as I now feel way more confident tackling solar kit setups.

Thank you soooo much! I've been trying to hook a Rich Solar monocrystalline solar panel that has an Andersen connector to the Tacklife generator which has a 5.5 x 2.5 mm DC input. (A month ago, I didn't even know any of these terms!) Imagine my frustration as a newbie to all of this when the two products came and I didn't have any idea how to connect them. I spent two weeks researching and trying to educate myself. Long story short and $30 later at this very moment, I'm charging my generator with this panel using an Andersen to MC4 adapter and MC4 to DC 5.5 x 2.5 mm input adapter. I have two of these panels and wanted to connect them in parallel, and wasn't sure how to do it, and I think you have helped me to finally understand how to do this. Plus, you validated all of the work I have done and solidified all that I have learned over the past two weeks. I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos. You are a great teacher!

@@jayson1710 I did order a Bogue solar panel right after Professor Hobore veiw. The demand was so good that it's on backorder until mid September. I have used the maxoak on some power tools and tested it out with some kitchen appliances. It works as advertised I did have some trouble running my 25 cubic foot refrigerator but after a couple of resets it ran it fine not using much power. For the microwave and the induction cooktop I just used it on a lower setting, probably 60% on a 1100 watt microwave and level 2 on a 1500 watt induction cooktop. I'm sure that it will run my Wi-Fi router and my TV during a power outage which is my main concern. Will post a comment when I get my 170 Watts solar panel.
