Anchoring. Remember a time you were happy. Feel the feeling. Choose a word eg happy. Touch your finger and thumb together as a physical trigger. Done correctly you can change your state in an instant xxx (neuro linguistic programming)
Smile Do a rampage of gratitude Meditate Positive affirmations Listen to uplifting music Go outside for sun/fresh air Give somebody a hug

Hugging TREES with gratitude brings amazing feeling for me. Trees are part of Mother Nature I love so she never fails to infuse me from her very strong Core Energy. I always feel refreshed & happy to receive these Spiritual gifts. However, I can only hug trees when people are not around because everybody may not understand my behavior.

I like the fake smile thing. It instantly changes my mood. And now I feel everything beautiful around me.
When I open my eyes each morning I see a word "Gratitude". I start with being grateful for the fact that I can see it!

Thank you Jack, I needed this today! I subscribed! I smile a lot during my days, it has become my second nature and it works! Not only for yourself, but smiling to other people gives them a great feeling too. Especially smiling to strangers. You may change someones day more than you're aware of! By the way: dancing is a great way to lift up your mood as well! And what about being creative! Gardening or creating a meal, drawing, painting, writing, etc. are all creative expressions that I do Love so much!
I can't think of a better way to recenter my day, bring my thoughts back to what I need and want to focus on. Great exercise!

By nature, I tend to be in a good mood most of the time, but I'm sure that the habit of implementing most of those positive practices on a regular basis, which I developed over time, has helped my mood a lot, too. When something happens that stresses me out, I love to listen to positive and powerful music, but I also find solace in hugging a beloved one, or in walking in my favorite park. Also, watching your videos, Jack, lifts my spirit. Your simple and effective tips, along with the calm, positive and reassuring way you talk, make me always feel good. Thank you for all you do to help people become better and have better lives!

Great list, Jack. I know these really work. Smiling towards someone else, especially with an open heart towards the other person, is especially powerful. We are hard wired to smile back when someone smiles at us, so it is a real win-win strategy. One of my students let me know she enjoyed meeting with me because I always smiled and really listened to her. Really supports a great mood lifting, positive exchange. Thank you Jack. I found that when I am down at home, I seek out my pets and interact with them. Hugging my kitties and just laying down with them and talking to them brightens my day immediately. When at work, smiling to myself and gratitude rampage seem to do the trick. Grateful for you! Birdie
