When doing this are you able to get updated business formation copies with the new address? I'm being told no, but shouldn't I be able to for when I try to open a new account with a bank?

Hello there, I do hope this message reaches you sooner than later. I am trying to figure out what is meant by the "Total sales of last returned filed & Total amount paid of last return filed"? This is my 1st time having to amend my LLC address & not for sure what information on my form it's referring too...Also, Am I able to update the NAICS code online as well?

This just changes your mailing address, you have to file an amendment with SOS to change your company's actual address

It is multilayered I am doing an updated vid soon, you also can change it when you file your Franchise Tax and Public information form for free.

When you transfer your business does your business credit transfer or are you starting over ?

Not sure what you mean by that. If you have an NJ business, you need to establish a Texas entity . I hope this helps

Is this to change the actual physical business address, or the mailing address? I was told for me to change my physical business address I need to an amendment on my LLC. It's not cheap to do so in Texas so I'm trying to figure out what needs to be done.

I was wondering the same thing about the process wit the SOS. The only thing I found that I can do is change the registered agent office address and from my understanding , a small business should not be its own registered agent. Its so confusing.

You can do an amendment (costs) to change the address on record. And in May 2023 you can do a Public Info Report to change the address it’s free.

It depends on if you want to change the original filing or if you want to change the info that people see when they look up your business.

there are services that charge $200 for this, would you also need to amend this information with the state?

That is your choice. You can amend it with the state that would change your formation document’s address. The price to do that on your own is $150

This changes your entity address? I recently created an llc to do work with the government. I attached my entity to a virtual office/address, unfortunately the government requires a physical address. I hope this will be all I need to do to change my address to a physical one. Also, will the comptroller send out updated forms or do I need to contact the SOS? I would appreciate any information you can provide. Thank you!

To do it a permanent change you will need to do an amendment they charge $150. To change the Comptroller mailing address to receive mail the video is how you change it. No charge.

Can't I go to the Secretary of State where I created my LLC and put in my business address. Can I just go back and edit it my address and put in my virtual address?

That would be an amendment. There is a charge to amend the original documents there.
