To get to the point where the video started is basic removal of the covers and flywheel.

You say by the book it is supposed to take a couple hours... what book are you referring to? Always wondered how they estimate hours for a job...

If the SHO is 4.2 yes it’s the same.

If time was off a tooth would that cause the engine to not start but just keep turning over and over after replacing the belt

I don't understand why you removed the tensioner. And then you replaced it with a new one or did you just reinstall the old one? Please explain.

The tensioner was bad, so we replaced it. It's easier to install the new belt with the tensioner removed; If you'd like, I can post a video showcasing how.

Yes I agree tensioners need to be replaced with belt and idler pulleys also to me . Just as a precautionary . If they seize it is a interference engine . Meaning valves will contact piston if not of time

@@cheetoz6902 Precautionary? Why not just put in a new ECU while you're in there then. Sorry, I'm not going to start slapping new parts in there just because they have 850 hours on them.

An ECU doesn’t have bearings that can fail.
