Let me show you a quick simple way to rename your iPhone.
When you change your iPhone's device name, the name you set will show up when connecting to Bluetooth or AirDrop. It's also nice to change it to something personal instead of the default device name.
To get started, find and open the Settings app.
On the Settings page, scroll down and tap on "General" near the center. Then, tap on "About" at the top of the General page. You should see "Name" at the top.
By default, your iPhone's name is the name of the device model, like iPhone 14 or 15 Pro. You can delete this name and enter your own. Once you've entered your desired name, tap on "Done."
Your iPhone's name will be updated and will appear with the new name when using AirDrop, hotspots, and anytime you connect to your phone. It should update and broadcast right away, but if not, it will after a couple of minutes.
And that's how you update the name of your iPhone.
