How to change the instrument cluster settings in your BMW - BMW How-To
Learn in this video how to change the settings of your BMW's instrument cluster. In vehicles with Operating System 7, the Live Cockpit Professional offers a digital instrument cluster. You can change the display settings of the instrument cluster by going to 'CAR', 'Settings', 'Displays', 'Instrument cluster'.

Have to agree with all these comments. New z4 owner. Not a fan of the instrument cluster. Good thing is its just software. BMW please offer classic gauges.
I have a 2018 440i Coupe and think I’ll get the M340i next. The only thing I don’t like is the digital display have the back to front arc of the tachometer. I much prefer the traditional shape of the dials in my digital display!
Round displays yes, an urgent upgrade !
Can the design be changed to round gauges or only rpms with gear??

Hi BMW, please give the rounded gauges option. They are much much more readable that these uggly dials. And also the possibility to display oil pressure and temperature permanently as a widget.
I want round speedometer and gauges on the dashboard! If only I could combine the classic gauges with the bmw connected package , i'd be happy.
To be honest, we need those round dials..old dashboard :( not a tablet all the way

These types of dashboards & navi/radios should be capable of so much more customization and skinning than they are. I hope the 2022 is anyway.
