this is the correct way to remove a chuck take the drill bit out look down inside chuck you see a screw turn it clockwise to removeit the turn chuck counter clock wise to remove it do not use a hammer

This guy is actually crazy

I only replaced one on a portable drill and it had an Allen head cap screw down the inside bottom of the chuck. I had to loosen that first, then unscrewed the chuck. It pays to read the instructions that come with a new one. I also replaced a drill press chuck, but that was Morse taper.

Centre of chuck internally you use a cross head screwdriver and unscrew the lock bolt. Then turn chuck anti clockwise to unscrew.

Some electric- drills use the system of putting the key in the chuck opening the jaws fully and tapping a bit hard with a mallet on the key to un-loosen the chuck. There are other ways of removing the chuck.

Thank you very much , I used angle grinder to remove the chuck but I cut the round bar hitting it with hammer is a right think to do.hitting with hammer is a must and effective

To change a drill chuck , usually you turn it anticlockwise towards you, then you put its key in the chuck and tap it a bit hard with a mallet. That should loosen it.

This kind of machine should not be used rough and tough and rather to be repaired or change of parts carefully as far as possible delicately. The inner parts may be damaged.

It is very simple to change the chuck into the drill, open widely the chuck to see the inner center screw loosen the screw to counter clockwise if the srew is very tighten apply a liitle bit force so you can easily unscrew... you don't need a hammer
